Are various ways to prepare shrimp, which I hope to be consuming in great quantities.
It could also describe how this Pennsylvania native will feel venturing to the Deep South!
I will leave tomorrow for a ride from PA down thru WV, VA, TN.... hitting some of the nice curvy roads those states offer. Then plan on hitting the Cherohala Skyway eventually making my way over to the Natchez Trace. Hit Louisiana for a bit, then south to the water and head east thru Mississippi and Alabama to the FL panhandle. From there..... along the coast of GA/SC ?? .... or more inland to hills and curves and cooler temps will be decided later.
I've never been to that area, so that's one reason for going. The other... shrimp! And hopefully crawdads! Throw in history sites, blues music, and whatever else I find are reasons enough.
The bike will be my Honda ST 1300, which has carried me everywhere from Meat Cove NS to Wawa ON to Eureka MT. It should be very capable. Prepared to camp some, but motels are nice when it's rainy or when I need AC to sleep.
Hope to post pics and stories as I go... but we'll see.

:ricky and :dukegirl and :dutch to follow!

    Good Luck!

Rt 219 through WVa is a great road. Going to Wheels Through Time museum in Maggie Valley?

You mentioned the Cherohala but you left out the Dragon - been there?

Maggie Valley museum or Barber Museum in 'Bama????
    Tough choice!
Dragon? I know I'll be close getting to the Cherohala, so possibly. Hope it's not a t-storm like when wife and I rode it!

Ready to welcome you in Louisiana. Come hungry, but be prepared to sweat. The annual sauna is well under way.

Be my pleasure to show you around Cajun country, you need only ask.

Crawfish are still available down here, but the season is winding down quickly. If you get here in the next week, I can figure some thing out.
