We are going to have to plan a RTE to hear about the trip when you return.

Great pics. I recognize a lot of these from my many rides up and down Blue Ridge Parkway. I realize I need to stay at some of these places. Thanks for ride report. Looking forward to more posts.

Good morning George. Looks like a great ride so far, besides the weather. I will try and get you some sun and then you can send it back this way. Weather is ugly here . Be safe.

    Peter-
Lots of sun yesterday and this morning so far! Cool enough to be comfy. Headed to the Dragon and Great Smoky Mountain National Park.

Take it easy on the trace. When a buddy and I rode it a few years back it was heavily patrolled. Quite a few cops coming the opposite direction of us blipping their lights and sirens at us. Also, if you make it to New Orleans, I highly recommend Jacques Imos. The shrimp and alligator sausage cheesecake is a life changer. I still consider going to New Orleans just for that. The wait can get long but it's very much worth it. We also ate at a place simply called "Cajun Seafood". Food there was also very good. It's what I would call deli style but they served everything really fresh. I had boiled crawdads, iirc they were served by the pound. It appears to be a local NO chain, the one we were at wasn't in the greatest of neighborhoods but delicious nonetheless.

I have left the mountains and curves of eastern TN and NC behind. Rolling hills and straighter roads now as I head towards the Natchez Trace.

Cherohala Skyway was a very nice road. Beautiful views, sweeping curves, and VERY little traffic. KTM guy certainly took advantage of no law presence too!!!

Thanks for the warning and advice!
Doubt I'll make it to NO....don't care for cities and that many people in such a small area. Should be able to find some good eats without the crowd.

    Alive and kicking....heat is building.
In Mississippi now. Riding the Natchez Trace Parkway some, but not going to do the whole thing.....as others said...it gets boring after awhile. I've hit that point!
