    Evandro,

    Let's organize a meeting.
You are in Campinas, and we are in Santos (only 100 miles)
Robson could come to visit us. Or, maybe, we ride to SC.
Other ADV Riders who are currently riding in South America could come to meet us.
    What do you think.
    Take care......abraço

    Lucio!
Well, I can make this here without problems, we don't have to many hotels here, but we have a great campsite in the city.
We can make steaks (churrasco), with beers, and a short trip to know something near the city.
But, I can go another place too, without problems.
    What do you think?

I had a DR650 in the states and really liked it. Have not seen any new ones here yet. I thought about the Falcon but I think since I am kind of a big boy (100+ Kilos) I need a little more then 400cc to haul my fat ass around. :lol3

I am kind of settled on the DL650. That won't take too much of a bite out of my bank and I will be able to get riding gear and some farkles for the bike and still be in way less then the DL1000 or XL1000. Really just waiting to get my Brazilian drivers license before I get the bike.

    Cheers,

    Mike

Living, most time of the year atleast :)

If you want a new bike, i Would go with the Yamaha XT660, very good bike, easier to sell when you want to do that and made in Brazil so the tax on it is lower then on the Suzuki.

And it can haul your ass :D

    Robson,
    It could be anywhere, really.
We just need to think the best time to have it and invite as many Adventure Riders as possible.
It doesn't have to be full of riders. Just a few of us will be already a great event. So, I guess the first meeting should be simple, on a long weekend. Just as our first opportunity to get together, talk about adventures and have a few bohemias.

    Good Lucio!
    Let's talk about this.
I believe we can find a holiday in a weekend during this year, and, as you told, make something simple, with a projector to show pics, etc...
Accompany with beers (Bohemia, hehehe) and barbecue (churrasco).

I am open to any day. Maybe a small resort town with a nice short ride close by to leave plenty of time for... :freaky The older I have gotten the less I like camping out so I would like a hotel. What can I do to help this program move forward?

    Cheers,

    Mike

into a which bike thread but.....

I like both the XT660R and DL650. I just think the Suzuki will be more comfortable for longer rides. There are a lot of dirt roads here to explore and the Suzuki will handle them fine. I know the Yamaha is more off road oriented and I do like it. Now I need to go to the dealer and check it out again. Hey if Robson can take his 2 up to Chile I am sure it would be fine for me solo. :rofl

Will we be seeing you at the Brazil ADVriders meet? :freaky

    Cheers,

    Mike

    My schedule is also flexible.
It could be in a beach town along de coast from SC to Rio (maybe Paraná) - I think it would be at reasonable distance to all riders, except Bahia.
    Any suggestions ?

    Lucio!
    You gave an idea!
    Look at this map:
    http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=Jabor%C3%A1+-+SC&daddr=guaraquecaba,+pr&hl=pt-BR&geocode=FTRjYf4d1Ivq_CkXNNQGZ4zjlDFTJYifE9S4vg%3BFTwlfv4dk70e_SnF7OfSgAnblDGIrTYStOpyNg&mra=ls&sll=-25.219851,-48.339844&sspn=0.601314,1.349945&ie=UTF8&t=h&z=8

We have to many attractions near Guaraquecaba.
A unpaved road, near Morretes, Serra da Graciosa, etc.
I believe this place is good. I'll try to find more information about camping or hostels/hotels, etc.
    Look and tell me before.
