    Robson,

It is really a great place and the hotels and pousadas that you selected are fantastic.
As I said, it doesn't need to be a big event - it is the first one.
So, we just need to select the place and the right date.
    I am ok with Guaraquecaba.
Maybe, next step, we select the date and open the invitation to all our ADV Friends.
The good thing about selecting a Pousada is that each person is responsible for his/her hotel reservation. No centralized bookings.
If someone prefers to stay at a different location, no problems too. We just need to make sure that the main hotel/pousada let outside people to be with us during the day (for a barbecue or a photo session, for example).

So, now we need suggestions for the dates.
The only problem with long weekends (public holidays) is that the roads and the hotels will be packed.
Maybe a normal weekend, if our inmates can take one day off work. Not sure if people can do this.
The advantage is that we would be free to select any weekend during the year.
I am starting to think that our first Brazilian Adventure Annual Meeting will be fun and a success.:clap :clap :freaky :freaky :clap :clap
    What do you think ?

    Perfect to me Lucio!
I can get one free day, a friday.
You're right when you talk about public holidays, it's not good.
Well, what date you suggest? Do you have one?

Well, if I would buy a new bike in brazil, it would be the XT, or the 1200GS :)

For the XT, you can change the seat, a friend of mine did that. http://produto.mercadolivre.com.br/MLB-125981853-banco-xt-660r-mais-confotavel-para-piloto-e-garupa-mod-cela-_JM

The meeting depends on where and when :)

I am without a motorcycle right now and looking for one. My last adventure bike was a 1994 XT600. I miss that bike. I did one trip to Argentina and another one to Uruguay with her. I am an American mais falo Portuguese.

Maybe some of the South American friends can give me some advice.
My money is small right now so I am looking at a 2004 Honda XR 250 Tornado. Fixing the seat which is muito duro, do you think it would make a good adventure bike? I know it can do off road but do you think I could cruise with my buddies which have Honda Falcons and a DR650?

..or should I look for a good used Sahara or Falcon?

    Obrigado/Gracious/Thanks! :)

It sounds like an interesting combination (XR 250 with a better seat).
But, I would go for the Falcons (400cc) if you are going to use it for longer trips. Remember the weight of your luggage.........let alone yours:D
    Take care.

    You're right Lucio!
The Falcon is better, but, if you go alone, I believe de Tornado is not bad, but, you'll have some places or routes that will be hard to "survive".
I missed my last XLR 125, it was great on dirty road, but on pavement, was terryble.
    Keep in touch. :freaky

You miss your XLR 125 ??
My brother had a TT125, back in the 80s and I was allowed to ride it.....sometimes.
But I had to shine his shoes to be able to do it.:D

I miss that as well............I mean, riding the TT125.

I miss the old 2 strokes. I was thinking of getting a good used DT 200R but I know that it is not practical for long distance.
