I will take my bike hunting.....
I'm planning on heading for the North Georgia mountains tomorrow. I plan on being at TWoS on Saturday. If you are in the area look for me on my Like150i. I'll probably wait until I return to do the ride report but maybe I'll post a few phone pics before then.
Safe travels Win...
My wife laughed so hard she was very close to literally rolling on the floor. I just bought a second bike, and while I don't envision myself as a 3 or more kinda guy, yankin' her ole funny bone can't help but to advance the cause!
I think you guys need a V Pod instead of a Vespa or Like. People are making scooters out of VW Bug fenders.
No doubt we would get a lot of attention riding those!
Green is 79cc
Blue is 212cc
Looks like a blast!
If you get by Helen. Check out the Troll tavern for me. One of my favorites. Have a great time!
I went out and actually ate in a restaurant today. What a concept!
Tomorrow looks like a good day to ride the N Ga mtns!
Did you have to eat with your mask on?
I forgot my mask in Alabama.
I saw a guy today on a Goldwing, on the interstate, with his modular helmet up, and N95 mask on.
Doesn't want his bike getting the coronavirus!
My one cell phone pic from today.
Good diversity of bikes.
Out of state ride?
We were in Georgia. I'll do a more detailed report when I get back home.
Got to see the Kawasaki KLX230, dirt and street legal models.
Other than the headlight design, it looks much better in person. Seems like a really quality good little bike, not having ridden it.
I'm Baaaack!. Time to start my ride report for my trip to Jawja.
This whole trip started when my buddy Steve (@Raptorman ) went out and stole a Vespa. It was an 09 GTV with 12,000+ miles on it that he stole for 1100 bucks. It was overdue for a belt change so I told him I'd come over and help him change the belt. Steve is a much better mechanic than I am but scooters are new to him and I have changed several scooter belts. Besides, N. GA has some great riding.
On Wednesday I loaded my Like in my truck and headed over. I was glad I had decided on that instead of riding over on the majesty because the weather sucked. Rain, wind and cold! So no pics for Thursday. The only thing noteworthy on that day was that we went to a restaurant and actually ate dinner there! What a concept. I almost forgot what that was like. Alabama still doesn't allow dining in Restaurants, Georgia does.
Thursday had some beeeuutiful weather and we took advantage of it. First I got a hold of a guy on the Maxiscoots forum and we arranged to meet in the town of Blue Ridge. Why Blue Ridge? Well first it's the nearest town and second there is a motorcycle dealer there with a bike I wanted to check out. Since one of the bikes I am considering buying is a KLX250 I rode there on Steve's older KLX250. It's not fuel injected like the newer ones but is otherwise pretty much identical.
And Steve was on his new Vespa.
We rode into Blue Ridge.
It's an 18 WR250 with less than 300 miles on it. They let me ride it around the parking lot but not on a real test ride. No doubt it's a more capable bike than either the KLX250 or 230 and they had a good price on it but I'm still leaning towards a KLX.
Steve (not another Steve) showed up on an unusual contraption and we rode to get some lunch.
What is it?
A Yamaha Waverunner with wheels
Looks purple with orange stripes. Custom paint?
