I noticed later in the ride that we turned on "Young Road". Being that it wasn't called "Young Dam Road", I'm guessing there was a dam and that they can spell in Tennessee.:-)

That was my first bitch ride ever!
That KTM was shifting pretty hard
but otherwise El Vulch was a perfect gentleman.
Put the Uly on the lift just now and noticed something...

Got your money’s worth out of that one! Next change around 65k? Or, you enjoyed that ride more than you wanted to admit!

I still have a few more pics to wrap up this ride.

At this point everyone except Rich was concerned about how much gas they had left. The Brozz, that "cheap China bike", was the only one of the group with a decent sized gas tank.

So we headed towards Fayetteville. It was still a good ride.

We came to a three way intersection. Tight was towards Fayettville. Straight was a dead end gravel road. Which way did we go?

    Straight of course.

This road used to go through.

Now the land by the river and the bridge were owned my Frito Lay and they had bunch of no trespassing signs to let us know that.

Rich and his mighty Brozz. Was he thinking of sliding his bike under the gate??

After that we back tracked and headed back to Wally World were we hung out a bit and Rich and Randy loaded up their bikes. I had around 105ish miles on my odo from the morning meeting.

So now I had a boring one hour ride ahead of me. I decided to go exploring on my way home. I turned West, then South, then West again and so on. I was now on roads I had never been on before.

This road through the cotton fields had a few 90 degree turns.

This road had an interesting name.

A pic for the "abandoned buildings" thread?

    Picking cotton.

I'll be heading into Tennessee on dual sport rides this coming Thursday and Saturday. Info on the Saturday ride is here: http://www.motorcyclealabama.com/rides/index.php?topic=3975.new#new

If you want to ride Thursday let me know and I'll figure out a time and place to meet. I'm not sure where that ride is going, maybe back to the same area we rode last Saturday.

Yesterday @Raptorman drove over from Jawja to visit for a few days and ride some local stuff. We went out this morning to ride the same area I rode last weekend. It was around 40 miles of boring, mostly four lane, roads until getting off on some back roads. I took some new to me roads and there was some really cool stuff on it that I neglected to take pics off. I'll need to go back some time and take the time to stop and get some pics.

My first pic of the day:

Many of the house in the country have metal roofs which are often painted bright red or green. I think the look good although I have stayed in a house with a metal rood before and it's pretty loud when it rains.

Our next stop was the same bridge we stopped at last weekend.

Someone left a fishing rod on the ground here.

Steve figured that after finishing all those cans of beer on the ground the person was too drunk to realize they forgot the fishing rod:lol3

    Steve trying out the rod.

    Some gravel road riding.

It was very dusty but it was also windy so the dust generally blew away fairly quickly.

Next up was the old abandoned bridge.

We walked across to check out the other side of the bridge. This road has seen better days.

Since I just rode these roads last weekend I didn't take as many pics.

    An over the shoulder shot.

We stopped in Lynchburg for lunch and at at the sandwich, pizza and ice cream shop across the road.

We both had sandwiches which were good but nothing special. After lunch we stopped by the Indian shop but it was pretty empty with only one vintage and one new bike on display.

Look honey I shrunk the motorcycle rider:lol3
