I got back home this afternoon from a six day trip. It's the first long trip I have taken this year that didn't involve driving somewhere. This was six days of riding. I didn't even get in a cage once.

A little background on this trip. Three or four years ago Steve @Raptorman and I took a week long trip and ended up staying at the Big Lynn Lodge in Little Switzerland. We were impressed with the lodge as well as the roads in the area although we didn't get to ride many of them on that trip. We decided back then that we needed to come back. We finally got around to doing that. This time there would be three of us as Rich @2372ighost would be joining us. When I called the lodge a few weeks ago they were almost completely booked and we got the last two rooms available during the time we wanted. Now we just had to hope for good weather. Following a few days of heavy rain it mostly cleared up in time for our trip.

I got on the road Sunday morning and headed for Steve's place in Blue Ridge, Ga. I had done the route to get there many times before so I didn't take a lot of pics. I got one on the Lookout Mountain Parkway. The rain had mostly cleared out but the clouds hadn't.

I stopped to get a pic of the Shallowford Bridge over the Toccoa River.

When I arrived at Steve's place Rich was already there. We hung out for a while then headed out on a ride to get dinner.

We got to Jim's Smokin Que at 4:30 and just barely beat the rush. By the time we ordered and sat down to eat the line to order food was out the door. If you like BBQ ribs this is the place to go.

After pigging out we took one of the twistiest roads in Georgia :ricky:ricky:ricky over to Two Wheels of Suches. We would have had dinner there but it was the weekend of the "Hooch" and the restaurant was closed to the public so they could feed all the dual sport riders. We stopped in anyway because Rich had never been there before.

    Hanging out on the porch.

Then it was time to ride more twisty roads back to Steve's place.
