Getting knowledgeable tech support from Garmin is a hit or miss thing at the best of times. Prudence dictates that "calling Cody" is far better than spending the first few days in Northern Europe on the phone to Garmin tech support. On my older Garmin units with maps from other continents the manual outlines how to test and or check where the other maps are located. It wouldn't have been that difficult for Garmin to outline a process how to check that the maps have been installed and are working somewhere in the manual.
