Preamble I dumped my TOMTOM and bought a Garmin 396 ltm-s, no real trying yet but seems what I want...

Now from years ago and a Garmin Oregon I had purchased a topo 24 Northeast DVD. Win 10 had to install OLD framework 3.5? then it would load finally. It appears in base camp and is viewable BUT I swear it now has much less detail, except for state forest no trails and tiny roads, seems like a terrain overlay of City navigator. Now this is a fuzzy memory but believe it. I am wondering if they give you a watered down version (update) or what, bing has more detail than this?

What is anyone elses experience , did I skip a step ? etc.

I am assuming you base BaseCamp detail set to highest?

I am using win 10 with the latest BaseCamp and have topi 24k west and get excellent detail.
