I've never checked my gas mileage either. Barb
I'm with you. Even in KY where there's a gas station every five miles, I check mileage on all my vehicles at every fill-up. At the very least, it will tell you something is up with your motor if mileage changes dramatically. With the universally inaccurate gauges on motorcycles, I trust my odometer much more than the fuel gauge.
I've been keeping track of my MPG on a Palm program since I purchased the bike (used) in Oct. 2002. 19,047 miles later, my all time average MPG is 63.9.
