    '87 K75S stone stock, 63k - avg about 55-60 mpg,
best result was way over 60mpg (steady hand pays off: 285miles on 4gallons = 71+; had to piss off my buddy- a K75 freak, his was getting high 40s, but he is about 240lbs, i'm 170:lol3 )
worst was about 34mpg - speedo said 70 (even after i shut the bike off), trooper said 95, good thing I rolled off the throttle when I saw him sneaking up from the back :D

bullshit beemer instruments - $580 paperweight :dizave

'03 Softail Stage 1 (Dynajet jet kit+2.5" Vance pipes with baffles) avg 47mpg; stone stock was getting 50mpg around town

    DL650 K6 - 46MPG (only 1000 miles, though)
    DL650 K5 - 49MPG (it wasn't as fast, either :nah )
    02 ZR-7S - 48MPG before jetting, 44MPG after (it was worth it)

All in all, it's nice to have numbers like this with gas prices climbing again.

More I ride the worse my mileage gets

I'm with you. Even in KY where there's a gas station every five miles, I check mileage on all my vehicles at every fill-up. At the very least, it will tell you something is up with your motor if mileage changes dramatically. With the universally inaccurate gauges on motorcycles, I trust my odometer much more than the fuel gauge.

I've been keeping track of my MPG on a Palm program since I purchased the bike (used) in Oct. 2002. 19,047 miles later, my all time average MPG is 63.9.

BTW my 01 Honda Civic all time average, over 136,798 miles, is 37.4 MPG.

It's gonna kill me if I ever have to go to a lower MPG vehicle :2cry

filled up the wee-strom this morning 207 miles / 4.83 gallons = 42.8 MPG. I swear I used to get better mileage on the stock trail wings, I've been riding the TKC80s for about 2500 miles and I don't think I''ve seen 45 MPG since the switch.
