    Howdy trials peeps.

I attach two images to this post.

Before the new owners of the brand GasGas, it was a family business for more than 40 years. We are looking back at the history of the original company that no longer exists, not the present one.

    1) The spare part image is an original 1992 GT32 Clutch Slave Cylinder in vintage 1991 era packaging. As this spare part was updated a few times in the few years after 1992, this part has been in my parts bin for this part number for more than a quarter century. Today I ran across it under the newer versions and thought it was cool packaging and will just put it on display. (I resisted selling it all these years as I knew the newer versions were better)

    2) The little spare part baggie is vintage 1990s as well. There is a mascot that was used for many years only related to the GG spare parts department. I do not think he had an actual name, but maybe he did, not something that I know.

    Questions:
    A) what is this happy little spare parts mascot? (What does he depict?)
    B) What is the significance with this item that the mascot depicts? And how is it directly related to the GG company name?
    C) What does the "GasGas" name mean actually?
    D) What is the origin of the name GasGas in relation to the company? (What does the slang term "GasGas" mean in Spanish racing lore?)
    E) What motorcycle company did GasGas buy-out in 1988 and immediately move GG production into this factory?
    F) What famous Spanish moto family origin was related to this company that GasGas bought-out in 1988? (The family name)
    G) Before the GasGas company moved into the second factory in Fornells de la Selva in 1988, where (name of town) was the original location of the first GasGas company?
BONUS question: Before they became a motorcycle manufacturer, what was the business of the first GasGas company? (What did they do or sell?)
    H) The two founders of GG were former Enduro Champions and neither one was a trials specialists. They were very famous in Spain and both were Six Days (ISDE) medal winners for team Spain. They were for some years on a factory team and were top level riders who were responsible for the race testing and development of some very famous Spanish Enduro bikes. What Spanish company did they both race for as sponsored riders?
    I) What are the names of the two founders of GasGas?

You may wish to cut and paste the above questions and answer after each one? Or just reply. I'll check back and comment . Enjoy the fun.

Best regards in sport, Jim Snell

Random aside, but 'gas' in Europe generally translates as 'throttle'. As in 'tutto gas' = full throttle. Adjust for the language of your choice. The actual stuff America calls gas is petrol/benzina, etc.

I think the little mascot guy looks decidedly like a condom, but that's just me.

I could provide the web page with all the answers but that would be like riding a Honda 300RR. Cheaters.

"Hyperbolic22" got some right, and also missed some.
And we're still waiting for the answer about the little mascot guy.
And yes there is a website and the answer on one or more of these questions tells me who cheated
Because the website is actually wrong on a few things.

    What is the mascot?

Still waiting on correct answers on questions.

    A, B, E, F and G

And the answer from "hyprrbolic22" about the two founder's names are OK and I'll accept as correct, but very few know their full names. (I've got lots of documents with their signatures so I know, I'm not playing fair. )

The answer to "G" is SALT. (Original old-town Salt, opposite the AP-7 motorway from the current factory)

In this image I am standing in a public courtyard, the homes of Casas and Piber as well as the original shop and home of Dani Font surround me. What it must have been like back then, this little neighborhood of GasGas. "La familia"
