reminds me of the old Bebox's

They had to rows of verticle leds going up the case for each cpu's
    usage.

same idea and looked good in the dorms.

Did you see "Wired" magazine (last month or so) some guy is selling the old CRAY ("C" shaped design) as sheek geek furnature... (OK, I admit it, I'd love to have some of Cray1 benches on my office!)

Anybody remember Thinking Machines supercomputers? I recall a discussion I had with one of their execs back about 1992. I remarked on their amazing banks of colored LEDs all over the front panel. He admitted that they were quite impressive, but were purely cosmetic...he said customers loved 'em. :rofl

Ya, that the ticket, LED's on big chassies, and a few "regular" CPU's LED's do not suck up your energy bill, ya I like it. Hum... "Danger Will Robinson":arg

Yeah mang...we don't need no steenkin' LEDs...give us plain old fashioned random-blinking incandescents!
