Ladies and gentleman, I have 8 US states and 4 Canadian provinces left to reach my goal of riding a motorbike through all states and provinces.

I was wondering if you ladies n gents could chime in with must see's or interesting roads to ride along or adjacent to this proposed route?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

One thing in particular I'll be searching for along the east coast is fresh seafood, I cannot get enough of the stuff. Feel free to name some spots where I can get tasty seafood without breaking my bank.

Also, private or government campgrounds that are picturesque, along with reasonably priced motels.

Here's some G maps of my proposed route:

Looks like you're already taking 555 up from Parkersburg and skipping across most of WVA on US 50... That would have been my best advice. Can't help you with the fish other than my usual strategy wish is to find the ocean, then figure out where the other tourists aren't.

When are you planning to be in Appomattox, VA?

If the timing is right, Just 20 miles to the west and you can have free accommodations for the night. Can't promise good seafood, but there is a great dive bar within walking distance.

BTW, VA Beach west on 460 is boring as hell!!

We found some really good seafood along the southeast coast. Sometimes it was touristy, such as Dirty Dicks near Outer Banks. Other times it was some local place with Cajun crab or crawfish.

The Pour Taproom in Wilmington was interesting. That's the first time I experienced a self serve tap room. You pour what you want from hundreds of taps, and get charged as you leave.

I would be more than happy to ride with you across NY state & show you a more interesting route. Either way we can still do a meet and eat
Are you on a schedule? I hope not. I am on the leave when good and ready and return when ready schedule
    PM me when it's time

I don't know yet, but I appreciate the offer. I enjoy dive bars with delicious food.

I've yet to decide whether to ride the loop clockwise or counterclockwise.

Thanks for the tip on 460, I put that as my route, but I'll definitely cut across on the less traveled roads.

Wilmington? Delaware? I love crab and crawfish if prepared correctly!

Good to know, thanks for the offer. I don't know when I'm going to leave. Hopefully soon. I'm waiting to ensure everything will be open along my route.

Wilmington, North Carolina is where the self serve tap room was.

We ate ate so many good seafood restaurants, I can't remember specifics. They aren't difficult to find, though. I recommend asking locals along the way. They are generally friendly, and happy to point you to their favorite place.

I don't think there is really a good way to head west from the beach. Its fairly uninteresting country over there. West of Farmville is bit better. West and SW of Lynchburg is better still. Maybe Virginia Rt40? That looks to take you through lots of small towns.

Skip Long Island. Boring, traffic and you'll go through plenty of coastal towns on your trip.

PM me when you are coming thru, I may or may not be on tour myself, but i check in here for entertainment purposes when out there.
US 23 from Toledo to Ann Arbor is a bitch in cage let alone a motorcycle so you might want to consider the 2 lane instead.

I was hoping it'd be the exact opposite, especially on the eastern end, thanks for the heads up though, I guess I'll just ride across Connecticut.

I'll take backroads to 223, then 23, I'll only be on 23 for a few minutes.

    Will do!
