I just bought a brand new 2017 CRF250L and got to put mile 1 on it!! I took a week off June11th through June15th and plan to find great dirt roads in Maine while Moto Camping along the way. I plan on starting in Gray Maine, Going north up to Mt. Blue area, then farther North East to Mt. Katahdin and the Sebois Public Land then head East and pick up the Down Eastern Sunrise Trail at the end and take it back along the coast towards home. I have no idea how long the trip will and only a vague idea of where I will be staying. No mapped out trails or roads. I found a bunch of free camp sites up north I have the GPS Coordinates for them. I will post a map of my planned route, but I wanted to find out if there are any places you recommend I should visit along my route or go out of the way to see.

Good company can't be turned down. According to the DEST there are primitive camping spots in Cherryfield, Some more near Mt Schoodic. I always welcome suggestions and advice; although, I still tend to learn things the hard way :-):-):-)

Hey buddy, if you follow this route for that section you'll ride 95% dirt. All roads are in good condition, not so much for the bugs. Camp next to the lake, the wind will keep the buggers down and pack a fishing pole! Capture.JPG
The dirt road that runs along Schoodic lake is gorgeous, this is from last fall

Starting to Gear up, heated handlebar grips are a necessity for my daily commute where it is frequently in the 40s and 50s, they should also come in handy on the trip if I can get outta my sleeping bag early enough. I got these bar end crash guards/ mirrors, not sure if I am going to keep them on. 20180606_062127.jpg

Its a perfect day for a ride. Today is an easy day only 138 miles on the road then i'll explore the trails at MT Blue St. Park and set up camp for a relaxing first day. Lets hope I remembered to pack everything. 20180611_093304.jpg
