Hey everybody, looks like I'm headed to Tokyo and I thought you should find out if I might be able to get a good deal on some motorcycle boots there?

I'm in thailand most of the time and getting gear here is tough because of the import taxes.

I thought I might be able to get a good deal on some boots in Japan. Any leads on places to go, or am i better off picking up some boots back home in the states the next time I go there?

I’m 71.5 inches tall and weigh 230 on a good day. I have yet to find any MC clothing on the rack in Japan that fits. I did score some backup gloves at NAPS though.

It's a protected market. For example, Alpinestars Corozal, 200-and-something bucks at fc-moto.com, >JPY50,000 retail here (near 500 bucks). Can't recommend buying boots in Japan.

Horry Shit! Maybe I'll stick to those takoyaki balls instead.

Yeah, I tried the takoyaki but my feet kept sliding off the pegs.
