Was making a right-hand turn from a parking lot yesterday onto a three-lane road with an SUV a ways behind me. As I turned out, the SUV decided she needed to occupy the same space I was in, and moved over two lanes without signaling, nearly hitting me. She lays on the horn, as if it's my fault she was oblivious to my presence on the road, and continues behind me. We get to a stop light and I put on my left blinker and point at it, then put on my right blinker and point at it. I keep going for 2 miles or so until I realize that she's following me. About a mile later I get to my destination, get off the bike, and she pulls up next to me and starts telling me that I don't "own the road," and that I should "be more careful on that death-trap." :huh I was in a hurry and told her, "Lady, the only reason my motorcycle is a 'death-trap' is because of drivers like you," and went inside. She seemed pretty angry, but didn't choose to follow me into the store. Were I a younger man, she would never have had a chance to talk to me, and would have been missing a side-view mirror and would've gained a couple nice boot prints in the side of her SUV. I knew she was near me when I was pulling out, but on an empty road, with an entire lane between us, I didn't think it was necessary to let her pass before I pulled out. Glad I was paying attention and got out of her way. So, what are some of your "getting yelled at by angry driver" stories?
