Thanks to our friends Gary and George for helping shuttle our gear to the KTM Adventure Rider Rally in Colorado! Gary used to be a KTM dealer here in Oregon, and he hosts off-road races on his property. See you in Breck!

Clear skies and epic dirt conditions! Riders from EVO Gimbals, Next Adventure, Big Agnes. Shaping up to be the best yet of our fall camp outs!

Volcano Camp was inspired by this trip about four years ago with the guys from Motorcycle Superstores and Eric Wright from Bell Helmets:

We’re heading out the door on our way to our Volcano Camp ride.
Should be a great weekend for riding in central Oregon!
If you’re going, we will see you there tonight.

Our friend and customer Smoky has ridden from northern Alberta to Oregon to join us for our past three GL rides - our June Giant Loop Ride and our September Volcano Camp. He rides it all on whatever bike he’s on! This time it was his 2002 BMW 1150 RS - with a Diablo Pro Tank Bag.

Today, we answer the question: Can a truck run over Giant Loop's Gas Bag Fuel Safe Bladder without causing leaks or damage?

Can you do this with your plastic gas can? People ask if Giant Loop's Gas Bag Fuel Safe Bladder is tough, so we put the 5-gallon Gas Bag to the test by running over it repeatedly with a Nissan Titan half ton pick-up truck. Not only did it not pop or leak, it barely left a mark, even when the truck tire pushes it and makes it roll on the asphalt parking lot.

Test fitting the KTM 790 Adventure S (fit is same on S and R models).

    IMG_9658.JPG

We removed the grab handles using our KTM Spacer Kit, which makes our horseshoe-shaped Saddlebags fit perfectly - this is the Great Basin Saddlebag. Also mounted: Fandango Pro Tank Bag with Pannier Pockets tucked into the front like they were made for this bike. We also mounted 3.5 liter waterproof Possibles Pouches as external pockets on Saddlebag, plus the Rogue and Tillamook Dry Bags integrated into beaver tail compression straps.

    More details to come!

With the KTM Rally being this weekend, we are keeping the KTM theme going all weekend! We had a brand new KTM 790 Adventure from RIDE Adventures that we outfitted with a Fandango Pro Tank Bag, Pannier Pockets, Great Basin Saddlebag and then threw on a Tillamook Dry Bag and a Possibles Pouch. Everything mounted up perfectly to this new bike.
Go Light. Go Fast. Go Far.

Has anyone ever used the Rogue dry bags as side panniers? Was thinking of pairing them with a GCAG soft-rack (yes I know, that's crossing the streams, lol), for a minimalist set up that puts weight as low as possible, and wanted to know if anyone's tested them in that capacity

The easiest was to transport fuel on the trail! With 1,2,3 and 5 gallon sizes, the Giant Loop Gas Bag is great for any situation, whether it’s for a motorcycle, or a full size SUV. In the month of September, purchase any size Gas Bag, and receive a FREE EZ Pour and Spout Pouch.

The GL Beanie is BACK! https://www.giantloopmoto.com/product/giant-loop-beanie/

Call it a beanie. Call it a stocking cap. Call it a tuque. Whatever name you prefer, we call it warm and cozy! Giant Loop’s knit slouch beanie covers up hat hair, holds in precious body heat and instantly upgrades your rugged outdoorsy appearance around town and on every adventure. Designed to fit in your Giant Loop tank bag, tunnel bag or dry bag, the GL beanie subtly signals your preference for the “go light, go fast, go far” way of life. Wear it rolled up or down or slouched. Available in basic black emblazoned with a small GL label, this 100% acrylic lid is lightweight and warm with a wool-like feel. One size fits most, except for those with exceptionally large egos. Ride while you can!
