I was sitting north of the above signs to take the picture.
Seeing that today was when the
American Pledge of Allegiance First Published (1892)
The Pledge of Allegiance is an oath of loyalty to the United States. It first appeared in the September 8, 1892, issue of The Youth's Companion, and its authorship has been ascribed to magazine staff member Francis Bellamy. Officially recognized by the government in 1942, the pledge became compulsory in some public schools, but the following year the Supreme Court ruled that recitation could not be required of any individual. What two words were inserted into the pledge in 1954? More... Discuss
So, go grab 5 founding fathers.
Is the above too difficult?
Maybe not for some locations, but I can't find anything that I'd call acceptable anywhere near here.
I was thinking of stores or places with the same name ie Jeffersons cleaners or Washington county...
Does that help?
Certainly. Will look in the morning.
Go for the "kill" shot. Find find places, streets, whatever with "kill" in it.
If need be verbiage such as killington will work.
But something like "We kill rodents and pests." Is more of the idea.
Good one. I got a couple yesterday, but had to bail out. I was going for all apartment complexes.
2 month bump
I'm sure I'm missing some, but I can find exactly three within 50 miles or so.
I think that is closer than I can find I would have to go over to Philly and no one in their right mind wants to ride there. And it is way too foggy out now.
May be @chainslap can adjust the grab.
I don't see 'kill' used in advertising as much these days. I guess it's not "politically correct" with all the shootings in the press lately. I checked all the pest control places in and around me 2 months ago and only found one. I found another street sign that was useable and after that it's a 100 mile ride over to Killen, AL to get the others. Been too busy to go for that ride since then. This isn't as bad as some have been, but it's not as common as you might think either.
One of the ones I found is Killo Pest Control. The other two are street names. I could go to the coast and get Kill Devil Hills all day long, but, well, no.
Maybe we can get a group grab. Everyone who can get 1 "kill" can select a new tag.
Hahaha. Interesting concept. In the spirit of giving and all.
@ryder1 @wb57 @Dirty bike
I'm fine with changing it. Even though I was able to find enough places with kill in the name or phrase for the business. Mostly exterminators but some other business' as well.
But if it's a struggle let's change it to:
Find five signs with an author's name. EG; Shakespeare drive, London Cleaners, etc.
In the effort to move the game along, challenge accepted!

New Tag - Show me five signs with the word "wood" in them. It's Winter, this should be easy in almost any town or city.
Great job @Dirty bike
