That beautiful bike is no Roadster. It's an XL1200S Sportster Sport!

I’m in south Alabama. I have seen 883’s sell for 2000 - 2500 that were riders. 1200’s for 2500 and up, but again riders. Seriously, recently you could find a nice low mileage dresser for 5k or sometimes less. I have two friends who bought evo low riders and road them home for 3500 and 3800.. one had less than 30k miles and the other had 36k miles.

I bought this one last July. Had 9k miles. 2005 1200 roadster for $3600. Ran fine when I bought it and still does. FD09673D-CC95-4F39-84A6-DB0084C6D8B5.jpeg This is it now..

Besides, “Sportster Sport” sounds uncomfortably close to “Sporty McSportface”

I'm not so sure about that. The brakes and shocks are right. Butt, I zoomed in the pic, and it doesn't have the dual plug heads or coil on it. Here's a few pics of mine and you can see the plugs in the center of the heads and the quad wire coils.
Sport model or not, still a beautiful bike.

"97 Sports didn't have dual plug heads. Those came in '98.

    Roadster didn’t exist until 2004

First two years of XL1200S didn’t have the dual plug heads, just the upgraded suspension and brakes. 1200S was produced 1996-2003

It's the bike that inspired the direction for my Iron 1200 setup! Next might be buckhorns just because! :D

Wide buckhorns feel pretty good on long days, super relaxed. Those narrow ones that come back almost at 90 degrees are bananas to ride with and you can forget about u-turns!! :lol3
