Ya know I have had all kinds of Harley’s from Baggers to custom Choppers and Softails.
So what I gotta stop for gas every 80 miles, what’s priceless is sitting at a stoplight on a Sunday morning having a group of big bikes pull up all around you,
one guy on a Fat Boy 103 with his black denim vest hairy arms and a big stogie hangin out of his mouth lookin over at you like he just smelled fresh shit the light turns green you pin it and grab gears and leave them all behind they won’t even look at you at the next light if they have the balls to pull up along side you. It might be considered a chicks bike, I think its the best kept secret and I can’t ride it without smiling.

The story of my 48 sporty bike is I bought it for the wife to ride and I was going to get another bagger but I installed the pipes programmed the v3 fuel pak put the stage 1 air cleaner kit on and took it for a test ride.
4 hours later late for dinner wife tapping her foot in the driveway when I pulled up I had to break the news to her, that now we have to find her a bike Hahahaha it was an instant love affair.
So I ended up finding an almost new 883 iron for her with 230 miles for 7k she was happy loved the bike and I got to keep my mistress.

That red sporty is just drool-worthy! :raabia
I went there a few years back as part of a road trip (2000mi loop in 4 days) There are so many drop-dead gorgeous bikes there it's hard to even take it all in!
    Barbers is an absolute must-see.

After 25 years of marriage, riding together kinda helps keep the spice even riding to dinner or a quick run with backpacks to the store. The best is the Sunday rides Church, breakfast and then a cruise the long way home sometimes hitting the local watering hole Cooks corner or even a coastal ride.

Where I come from, we have a name for people who turn their noses up at you for your choice in motorcycles; it's "dumbass." Sweet bike, and great photo, by the way.

Man I love the dual sport(sters)!
I tried to convince my wife I needed 3 Sportys:
1 as a classic standard, 1 as a dual sport and 1 as a lowered bobber. She doesn't seem to be on board with my line of thought yet...:lol2

I suspect many (most/all)of the show bikes were trailered in.

That said the show categories included 1920's and earlier and they were invited to do a parade lap or two in the track. Four of them including two Excelsior-Hendersons took the opportunity. It was glorious.

There were also races that included an all tank shift category that was a blast to watch!

Well hopefully he at least fired it up.

I'm bummed that I missed Barber's this year. I've been 3 times and enjoyed each one immensely. Night time campground shenanigans are a must.

Are they doing the vintage mx/off road races this year?

Last day at Barber's. Walked the pits and spoke with some of the racers. This guy wasn't around but had plenty to look at ready to run. IMG_20191006_102314908_HDR.jpg IMG_20191006_102319778_HDR.jpg IMG_20191006_102323902_HDR.jpg IMG_20191006_102540393_HDR.jpg IMG_20191006_102330914_HDR.jpg
