Can you run the mount backwards on the quick releases and bolt up the plate? Looks like the angle of the rack would give you enough clearance that way
A bicycle speedo might be a good way to go if you want that, they can be calibrated to be extremely accurate and have max speed, average speed, multiple trip meters, etc. Not all makes and models work at MC speeds...Sigma's did at one time but I don't know what the current situation is.
^I like the 7 spoke wheels, the color and the silver stripe on the bottom of the tank! (Happy lookin' guy!)
Load tested my swingarm bag today. 2 - 650 count boxes of Q-tips and 2 mechanical pencils from the local cvs.
My wife claims that is the only known picture of me smiling The bike is the re-introduced $3999 883 with the tins from a 1200, the shop swapped them cuz the new owner of the 1200 wanted the stock red 883 parts, i happily agreed because the blue was gorgeous. I do believe the rims (from Australia?) were recalled and replaced. Eventually traded the sporty on a Hawk GT NT650.
Haha Lived in SW Montana at the time and would fearlessly take off on that thing with a couple of riding buddies to Lolo Pass/ Hwy 12, shred twisties to Jeremiah Johnson hot springs along the Clearwater river, smoke weed and skinny dip with hippie chicks, and haul ass home same day. Prime time fun and livin' large
My parent's had a cabin at the Lake of the Ozarks. I think it was 84 or 85 when the Hell's Angels had a huge rally there. As a 11 or 12 year old I was both scared and mesmerized. Were you one of the ones there?
Nope. Just kidding, that is a gorgeous bike. I like how the silver stripe makes the tank look smaller than it is.
I remember that. I avoided the area that weekend. I'm not a big rally guy. Always been more of a lone wolf. Plus, patch wearers are scary dudes
