    Hello

    You mean the complete bagage?

    Clothes:

I had done a lot of research and then I bought the overall. I think this has to be the best thing I bought next to the enormous boots. These kept me warm during the freezing temperatures.

The handlebar gloves from Bar Mitts are a Canadian product and are the best. Made for a mountainbike but perfect for my little bike. In combination with the windscreen I give it A+++ I never had the need for heated grips.

My custom 15liter gastank , made especially for the remote areas in the north survived. Now I know about the situation I don't think it needed to be so big because the longest distance between gasstations never exceeded 150km. But a little reserve is always Nice .you never know when you Will get stuck. I used gasoline in my stove which contains 0,7liter.

The rack: very satisfied. But I had to think more about the luggage. Maybe it would have been better with two small boxes or bags on the sides. But there's nothing you can't attach with bicycle straps.

It was overloaded but this was the minimum I could take. And I'm very happy how the Honda held on.
Yes the handlebars have two straps on each sides to keep it fix on the mountingplate. I couldn't fix it and this was the most easy solution.

During the trip I used a lot of duckttape. Mostly to repair the dammage caused by the 5 to 10 crashes I had.

My electrical system on the bike did what it had to do.
The extra led lights were very much needed in the dark days.

If you go to the snow, always Bring a shovel. That's what I learned :lol2

I only used my tent for 6 nights. My sleepingbag maybe 15 times. Was it necessary? Afterwards not really. But I didn't know I would get all these beds.
In case of a breakdown and help wouldn't show up fast I could use it as a backup. I always carried food with me so I could survive a couple of days while waiting.

And that is it I think? If you have a more specific question , shoot

Thanks, I've followed you from the start and this is one of the most enjoyable reports I've read on ADVR. After 20 years and 98000km on a Ural outfit I am changing to a 1964 CT200 Trail 90, it should do nicely on the forest roads of Oregon. Thanks again for the ride....

    BRAVO!
What a ride and inspiration. You got me thinking of doing a winter trip myself now to Nordkapp, going over the border from Trondheim (home) and into Sweden is my plan to avoid the salty roads at the coast of Norway.

Epic! What a great read! Really like that you visited the Saab and Volvo museums those are on my list as well when I jump the pond someday, being a huge Saab nut I’d love to see that place. Thanks for taking the time to write this up and include all of us!

Maximum 2 weeks in front you have to e-mail to DFDS Seaways that you would like to use there vessel on a chosen date. They'll send you an invoice after paying. Together with further details.
Single trip was 330 euro last time. Sounds expensive but breakfast and 2 hot Meals included per sailingday. If I would rode the way back home I would have to pay for 3 or 4 nights, gasoline, food,... And it would be just boring road.

In the summer you'll have to be quick I think.

From another guy who used to ride Honda 90's (a lot) - Great ride report! It was like a book that I could not put down until I read it cover to cover.
I am not inspired to try any of your polar craziness though, you are nuckin futz for doing this ride. I cannot wait to read your next ride report, you write well.

    Wow! Wow! and WOW!

I just spent February here in Montana with most the month below 0 with temps at night sometimes 25 to 30 below, with wind chill to 50 below and plenty of snow. I was whining and never traveled anywhere except in a warm car. I'll add to the chorus of so many other posters, you are the MAN!
