Soon after I started reading it I realized I had read it before, I kind of remembered the pictures as I went along, boy I have a lot of "I"s in that sentence.
As a side note, are you familiar with BigDog, he had some excellent RR's a few years back, anyway he has a good website, he has a build of his Africa Twin that I found interesting, thought you might find it interesting as well.

Gordon, just to make sure, please don't worry about the photo upgrade, with all the obstacles that lie ahead of you like cages, four legged critters, two legged critters, forest fires, weather, flying rocks, flying squirrels, and whatever else the world can throw at you, you have enough to worry about.
I did enjoy the Road King RR, especially your last post in that RR.
Take care and get home safe.
There, that's off my chest..... Ride on :thumb

Guess what I found on the side of the road 47 miles south of Teslin Junction..He was from Minnesota 1990 Electra Glide 160K on it original belt. I talked with him and his buddies at The restaurant at the Junction. IMG_1300.JPG IMG_1299.JPG IMG_1298.JPG

Funny you should find that. I found one in 2011 30 miles South of Tok. He was alone and the belt was laying 100yds down the road. He was trying to push the Harley up a mountain. Couple of trikes came along to tow the bike to Tok. ic

Maybe he is an optimist, like the guy who was treed by a lion yet still enjoyed the scenery.

I suppose he didn't really understand how remote the area was they were headed to. On the brighter side his insurance company is going to pay to have the bike flat bedded all of the way to Fairbanks. He told me the insurance he has is for antique/classic motorcycles it will also cover the repairs not a bad deal. He did tell me the name of the insurance . However I have a very good memory unfortunately it is very short. So I can't recall the insurance companies name....:jack

Left Toad River this morning. I am in a Hotel about 135 miles from Edmonton. No time to take any pictures today. I am hungry so I am going to go get something to eat.

Back in the Good Ole USA...Started the day in the freezing rain like to froze my butt off. Temperature ranged from 54 to about 57 Fahrenheit with rain sleet and more rain then a constant drizzle for about the first 7 hours or so. I was soaked to the bone and freezing. My Riding Gear is old and worn out. Next item on the list before our next MC trip new gear for Gordon. We bought new stuff for Toni before this ride. The day ended in Shelby, Mt with temperatures in the 80's Fahrenheit. Perfect day in the saddle... IMG_1306.JPG IMG_1304.JPG
