Pershing Missle Crewman part of the nuclear arsenal that helped bring down the Soviet Union. So actually we succeeded, I don't besmirch anyone who served in any capacity. We and they all deserve respect. Those who serve put it all on the line everyday so the rest of the population can live as we do. May God Bless all who served and who are serving now. ARMY STRONG AND ARMY PROUD !!!

Well, while you were waiting for he Russians to roll through the Fulda Gap (which was going to happen on a Wednesday morning: ANY Wednesday morning) and perhaps "goin' to the Graf", I was shuffling papers and letting the Os go to the front (they get paid more, let them take the risk :)

Go Chair Force: beat whomever is left standing whenever we let everyone else kill each other first :)
Call me when it is over and I'll write up the after action. Can I get my latte now?

Heading to Anchorage for a few days on 07/07/2017. Going to hang out there for a few days then the trip starts winding down for Toni. She is flying home on 07/17/2017. I will be riding the AT back to Ohio. I will continue updating the RR along the way. I have no real schedule or plans for the ride home just loose and easy the way I like to travel. The only road I really wanted to travel again is the Stewart Cassiar I hear it is completely paved now. The ride down won't be as much fun on pavement. However the ride will be just as scenic.

Yep Cassiar is paved. It wasn't in 2004 but when I came back in 2014 they had paved it. You're right, it's still scenic. If you have the time I would recommend a trip to Seward. The harbor is picturesque.

If you are in Anchorage and are hoteling it The Guest House is a decent choice. Book online you will be guaranteed a room in the main building. The place looks a bit seedy when you first arrive. However the staff is great the rooms are clean the internet is very good. Plus you get a 10 % discount at the Restaurant across the street which has a really great breakfast at a good price and a really nice wait staff. Same discount applies to the Mexican Restaurant behind the hotel. Bikes park under a canopy with closed circuit cameras, staff on duty 24/7. We like it here. Breakfast at the Sizzlin Cafe. When in Anchorage you must go to Snow City Cafe for breakfast, get there early, and Simon & Seaforts for supper and drinks. Enjoy. Great ride report.

Toni says she wants to live right here. I said the house isn't for sale. She said well when it is we should buy it. I just laughed and said sure thing. I hope she knows I was just kidding. IMG_1263.JPG IMG_1255.JPG IMG_1257.JPG
