Dress to the left, so lean to the right to compensate..
So... I was getting all organised, motivated etc to play catch-up here...
And now Photobucket has blown up and held the world to ransom, that has thrown a bit of a spanner in the works..
I've got backups of everything (I think).. and have started grabbing all the image filenames from 51 pages of ride report so I know what picture goes where..
Next step (for both restoring the old pics, and for moving forward with updates) is to work out where to host my pictures..
So.. anyone got any recommendations or places to avoid? (Yes I know, smugmug) just want to see what other options I've got...
Also considering creating my own private image stash and getting that hosted somewhere to avoid this sort of thing..
Google photos is free, still, and works fine once you get your head around it.
WOW! Just got am email to the same effect.
They want $399.99 a year. That's absurd.
That's a real drag for you Greg. Hope it all works out, there are some excellent pics on this thread.
Same here..........................................................they even make it hard to download your existing photos by making you go through a stupid "robotic" challenge test that take time and then wait endlessly for the ZIP file of your photos.
I speculate that PhotoBucket is getting paid by some "robotic" company to use it's leaving members as test subjects to refine their inter-active robot tests.
I am looking at switching to Google pics when I can have the time to capture all the photos that are locked into my old photobucket account.
Sure wish we could get some more GA adventures.
Road out of Exmouth WA was dust averaging about a foot deep when I was there. They would not let US build a paved road. Would like to go back to visit.

Interesting place to put your tea cup - does it collect a bit of dust back there?
Well if you're gonna be like that.......
Well yeah, it does... But cups are a shit thing to pack.. being round n all, really inefficient use of space...
