More good stuff from Michigan, first In Allegan County a few weeks ago and then in Berrien County last Sunday, December 6.

And more from southeastern Iowa in September. I rode an out-and back day trip from Chicago of 600 miles total to ride about 100 miles of primo dirt and gravel roads with the Dirt Orcas. Not exactly in our backyard, but doable as a day trip for those with larger adventure bikes.

    Yes. Trailer, truck and gear.
Faster- safer and nice to have a truck and trailer close by. Planning for Idaho BDR now

It's my ride report, but also includes the link to download the GPS Tracks, and just some general info about the ride. The creator suggest putting getting on in Mt Carroll, IL and then riding the loop counter clockwise. I think we only experienced one dead end (bridge was out).

IMHO it's about the best day trip you can get from the Chicagoland area. About 2 hours away, we truck over...ride the track....truck back home....no vacation days burnt or hotels/camping needed.

Don’t forget the obligatory ride to Baumgartner’s in Monroe, Wi for a cheese sandwich and bowl of soup.

That’s a great ride! I’ve done it several times. Big bike friendly and makes a great day ride out and back from Chicago. Might do it again this coming weekend.

That track is good. Think I'll load a few up out that way and see what happens tomorrow.
