Are any of you GPSers using Google Earth to plot your route?
The maps are there, with Lat/long, and it's easy to plan the intersections, river crossings, towns, etc.

No need to wait for somebody else to give you the waypoints......

yeah ditto on using Google Earth. also I have found that the waypoints I constructed using GE were quite accurate in the field. Now only if GE would have the res to show locked gates or fences across a trail:eek1 In other words, when you get out there, make sure you have an idea of an alternate routing.:D
