From the 5-star resort town of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho to the "mighty" Columbia River, the Spokane River offers a site-filled full day ride with enough time for a visit to Fort Spokane. Add this one to your bucket list for sure!

    Thanks again.
Very interesting and your videos great.
Haven’t enjoyed animated clips like this since I watched the “Road Runner” cartoons with my kids about 50 years ago :clap

Back to the dirt. Rathdrum Mountain towers over, you guessed it, Rathdrum, Idaho and the great Rathdrum Plain formed as a giant silt deposit during the evacuation of Lake Missoula 12,000 years ago as the southern tip of the ice sheet from the last ice age and the ice dam gave way generating a flood of Biblical proportions covering much of the state of Washington. Alright, back to Rathdrum Mountain, and some important info before you go. Most of the property is owned by Empire Inland Paper Company and you must obtain a permit to enter. They offer day or season permits at Black Sheep Sporting Goods in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho or at the HICO gas station in Rathdrum. Enjoy your trip!

And here's a link to a video simulation of the flooding of Lake Missoula that will blow your mind!!!

Another river run, this time up to the US-Canada border and back. For a scenic, relaxing ride, enjoy the Pend Orielle River (pronounced Pond-er-ay).

For most, Glacier National Park, in the northwestern corner of Montana needs no introduction. But just in case you've been living under a rock, I'll summarize. Stunning. Breathtaking. But then you add the world-famous road of Hwy 12, also known as Lolo Pass to the mix and now you're in for an unforgettable weekend as my brother and I experienced last summer.

At nearly 8,000 ft deep, Hells Canyon is the deepest canyon in North America. Yes, deeper than The Grand Canyon. And it features a SPECTACULAR twisty ride. Add this one to your Bucket List for sure!!! Attached is the route from Grangeville where we stayed for the night so you're treated with an additional epic serpentine route down the Salmon River on the way! I'm going to do this run again this year except entering from the west and south instead. 'CANNOT WAIT!!!

This ride was short on time but long on breath-taking vistas. Victoria, British Columbia boasts charming, historic architecture and a sense of vitality and adventure. You'll love it.

Banff. Lake Louise. Two of the most beautiful spots on the planet and only 30 minutes apart. You will not believe your eyes. The photos or videos you've seen are not exaggerated. You MUST go in person and plan to stay a while. Our plan was to make it from Banff to Jasper for lunch. But with a late start and soaking up the views at Lake Louise, we only made it half way. So plan your trip accordingly and you will not be disappointed no matter how it works out.
