I'm looking for a leather band. I've seen the Barton site come up here a few times, any other suggestions?

I could see a "luxury tactical" brand as being in pretty good demand in the US in the Submariner and under price range. I think some new market space could be gained by marketing it as a "hardcore, hackproof, emp proof timing and maneuvering device" worn by "high speed operators" to the AR, high end offroad / outdoor crowd.

Lead with the high end unobtanium 'General of the Army' field watch, 'General of the Air Force' flight watch, and 'Fleet Admiral' dive or mariner watch, follow with downmarket military themed SKUs. Gift some to military folks to get real world authenticity. Do plenty of flashy stress test type stuff demonstrating how tough the case / movement is (held up to firing 50k rounds of 50BMG, jumping out of an airplane, Hell Week, etc).

Put me down for an "enlisted man" with a 4 o'clock crown, please.

    My #2 go-to after Barton: https://strapsco.com/product-category/leather-watch-bands/

Depending on what style you're after, there are tons of other alternatives on Evil-bay and otherwise...

I've also had good luck on etsy. If you have something in mind, find one close and have it made to your specs.

Not tacticool, more like a refined version of actual service pieces.

Ok, like what. What models would you like to see what improvements made? Or a general direction to head to.

Pedantic asshole warning: I'm a huge 007 fan, but martinis are made with gin! His drink is a vodka cocktail. Also, there is no such thing as a chocolate martini.

I'll be over here, tilting at these windmills

A few months ago I got two straps from Nick at Catalyst Leatherworks, and the workmanship is first-rate. He's since raised his prices a bit, so they aren't quite as good a deal as they used to be.

That's one place I diverge. I like my martini very cold, so my request to the bartender is usually "bruise it like it owes you money"

The direction I'm thinking of is more like sub than analog g-shock. Refined but tool-like.
