I saw the Boston Pops play in Tanglewood another lifetime ago as a teenager. They performed The Planets, a movement for each planet in the solar system, and before each movement, Buzz would give a quick synopsis of the planet. Come to think of it, he may be the most impressive person I've ever knowingly been around, other than myself of course.

Put my birth year Speedy on brown leather, after @Manifold 's pictures of what he wants to do to his El Primero

Today is also the 55th anniversary of Ed White's first American to go EVA, wearing not one, but TWO Speedmasters. One of those was sadly lost in the Apollo 1 fire.

The new H Moser and MB&F tourbillons were announced today. Talk about a domed crystal.

Only 19mm thick. While that is a thick watch, it is thinner than it looks in photos.

I'd think if you wore one of those, you'd get your shirts and suits cut/tailored to fit around the watch, not over it.

While it's obviously not in the same class, the Arnold & Son Globetrotter does come with a thickness only thinner than the Moser examples. Actually, it's somewhat affordable also.

I am strangely drawn to it for some unexplained reason...most likely the ability to tell time around the globe as a worldtimer.

Oh... and the fact that it tells the southern hemisphere to suck it.

"Somewhat affordable". Yeah. Somewhat. That's a good one.

Well, you can trot around the globe for about that much money, or you can buy the Globetrotter. Makes perfect sense to me.

    MB&F x H. Moser LM101 $52,000
    H. Moser x MB&F Endeavour Cylindrical Tourbillon $79,000

Arnold & Son Globetrotter $16,995 (from the article dated last year)

Haven't watched this yet, in meetings all day (Meetings, the practical alternative to work!)

But no, not yet, probably in July (market, stock price, Corona Hornets not with standing)
