And so the waiting game begins..... Dear Jason,

Thank you very much for your order for a set of black

And 700 miles to induce a huge crack in them!

Want to post about that Ray?

    Couldn't resist Jim?

I was going to mention it after talking to them today. I didn't want to post here too early because to many people here are easily excitable and things get blown out of proportion. Our little group in DC is a little level head, well except for maybe one :augie .

Nope, couldn't resist. Besides, even if they fix it, and I have no doubt they will, why hide that it happened? Who does it benifit to perpetuate the myth that anything is perfect?

That Micatech made a mistake doesn't mean their bags suck, just that they are human.

Oh, and if you didn't want anyone to know, why did you post it on the local board?

It's not that I didn't want anyone to know, I just wanted to have the situation handled before posting here.

Like I said the local Board has less then 100 people posting regularly and those people are less excitable. Things get blown out of wack here.

Here are some pics I know people will be asking about

I just got of the phone with one of the "shop" guys. He says shipping dents are common, cracks never. Emailed the pictures to him. He's going to get back to me about what to do.

    Options were:

Send my box back they fix it and return it.

    or

They send me a new box, I transfer locks and brackets to new box and return damaged one.

    I have to wait now.

Curious (owning one just like that myself... without the crack... I think... =) Did you have it stuffed? Were you pounding along in the rough stuff? Any theories as to why it cracked?

That's it..... apparently it was all a lie. They are total crap and I will never ever buy such a faulty, cheap, piece of crap in my entire life. Not only am I going to cancel my order but I am going to blast them on every board that I ever thought about posting on. How dare they offer a product that may have a problem, and then they have the nerve to offer a new one for a replacement, Who do they think they are? And all of you people that have offered advise, and praise for the product are all part of the master plan to decieve....You are all dead to me.

    :hide
just kidding...cant wait to get them.....

I never left pavement with them (correction I did have about 2 miles of maintained gravel). They were never full. No Idea. The welding was minimal in that area, but not much less then any where else. I have no idea.

I just got off the phone with Bob at Micatech. They are going to send me a new box and I have to transfer the hardware over and I return the old box. They are getting it out to me within two days and they are paying for shipping both ways. You can't beat that.:clap
