If them boys in Virginia can do it we should be able to do it too!
What you got planned?
Nothing formal, a small group with a few folks in the know. I'd be willing to host but there are probably better options. I was thinking too that we could turn this into an all day thing. Meet up, get some good info on using GPS and then put it all to practice on a ride. If we had a couple guys show up with laptops we could meet up at a state park or something, use a pavillion to hold 'class' and head out from there.
I feel pretty comfortable using a GPS but I'm sure I'm not using it to it's full capability. This too would give everyone a good chance to see a lot of different units and allow for back to back comparisons, a chance to see different mounting options, etc.
Just let me know when, I live in Pensacola, be glad to head up your way
I have the new 60csx, don't have any batteries in it yet but I would show up just to see everyone elses toys. I'm like KV, I can use a gps but like most other things, I am sure I am not using it to it's fullest potential.
Got a 2610 on the way and would attend if someone can show me how to turn it on, etc.
Yep, a bit slow but I will be there and bring BlownCj's 276C.
Well, how about some suggestions?
BBQ and cute girls is good
A lot of both in Chattanooga...
Chattanooga would work good for me. I'm just up the road in Knoxville and got a new 276C last week. I'm sure I could learn a few things.
Chattanooga would be great. There are quite a few TN guys in that area. I know Suppermotodd is in Chat.
Mmmmm,,,,,cute girls. I'm in.
Ya'll be sure to route yourselves on KV's creepy dead-end back road tour.
I would probably be up for something.... I know how to turn mine on, and would be glad to share my experiences in doing so. Past that, I am a big dummy.
To hell with the one in VA, I'm going to this one
~ fixed ~
The GPS didn't show nearly that many trailers back there... Honest!
I'll show if I just happen to be home (25 miles from Chatt) at the time.
Gots me a laptop with Verizon Wireless internet access and DeLorme GPS navigation software that I could bring, along with my too rarely used Etrex Vista.
FYI, I'm planning to be home March 10 (aardvark's B-day ) through March 12.
I gots to know where that is! I use GPS quite a bit in N. GA and design routes that use the most remote roads I can find. Currently running a Garmin Quest with mounts on two bikes. Use MapQuest and Terrain Navigator for most of my mapping.
