I like the 2720 so far and the price is hard to beat.

I have about $70 into ram mounts and wire kits though. :lol3

So it seems as though it sold out immediately. I guess all these online electronics places are just shells that source from various warehouses and the refurbs sold out immediately. I got the guy to give me a new one at cost ($365) and it just showed up less than 24 hours after my initial order came without the GPS. Pretty decent customer service.

The 276c has stood the test of time and is the favorite of the ADV crowd for good reason. I really hate the newer interfaces but for $100 the 2720 would be hard to beat. It just doesn't have a battery right? I do my route planning in the cafe...

That said I'd skip the Touratech mount. I've had it and honestly I can't say it's worth the money. I've used a stock mount on a RAM system on my race bike and it never let go. The Touratech would occasionally drop the GPS in a crash or super hard hit. FWIW...

The big downside (for me) with the 276c is lack of a touchscreen. I've only played with it an hour or so when a buddy had one on a trip and didn't know how to use it. I tried and it was a pain in the ass to input addresses, scroll around a map, etc.

I agree with the interfaces. I still love my 2610 (currently serving duty in my truck) but I don't have enough time with the 2720 yet. It is dumbed down a bit but not as bad as a Zumo or Nuvi.

I have my gps in a TT mount and have done some really rough offroading with very hard hits and never had my gps pop out. I haven't crashed so I can't comment on that.

Right now, my mounting system costs more than my gps :lol3 .

Obviously, Amazon is the place to check for good prices. I ordered the 276c for $349.00 brand new.

Pulled the trigger on a 2720 kit off Amazon.

$166 shipped, with RAM mount and cables. Nice price for a total package.

I'm completely new to GPS on a motorcycle. So, I am sure this will be good for me.

I need to obtain and load Mexico and Central America maps. Suggestions?

Sportsman's warehouse is closing most of their stores and I picked up a 550 for $550. I just checked and GPScity.com has them listed at $600. It comes with a mounting bracket, but I haven't tried it yet.

Just got a refurbished Garmin 2720 for $112.19, shipping included, from eBay vendor eshopic.

    Here's a link:

Included a carrying bag and CNNT. Great service and if you're in the market I'd recommend them. My first time doing business with them but would do business with them again with no hesitations.

No but the seller has over 64000 feedback and 99.5% are positive. I'd buy from them if I was in the market.
