Figured it was going that way once the sale started. I wonder if they have a follow up planned?

For the first time I've seen, Garmin is running a sale on the inReach Explorer®+. $375, down $75, available at most of their typical retailers.

I think there are three product families.

    - The original Delorme products, still widely sold. (FYI, powered mount no longer avaialble)
    - The larger Garmin models introduced a year or two ago. (Nice inexpensive powered mount available) <- Explorer+ version on sale for $75 off
    - The new mini, just introduced.

While the new Mini and the older larger units are both inreach models and do similar things, the larger units have features that many may prefer, starting with a much larger color display, maps, etc. if the price reduction is permanent, I'm surprised to see the SE version remain at $399.

Any memorial day sales on GPS units? Looking for something with a curvy road feature for a decent price.

Garmin Inreach Explorer has been on sale at Amazon and REI for a couple days now. $374 IIRC. I bought one from Revzilla a week before and they gave me Revzilla cash for the difference when I called customer service.

got one two days ago to replace the Zumo550, which works fine for 90% of what I do, but limited maps caused me to pull the trigger. Had and sold a Zumo 595 which had the crappiest screen I've ever tried to see in daylight. why did they "update" the screens from the 550???? The 680 I can see!!!! Doesn't have some things the Zumo's have but I'm quite all right with that. Plus a back up power source which last...just in case the hard wire power goes south...the one in the unit, not the bike, which I had happen.

I hope to warm up to the 680T

My XR4 can barely power the baja designs light kit so I got the 680T for the battery life. I went out on a half-day, 85 mile 50/50 street/trail ride Saturday I leave the screen on all the time at 80% brightness. Came home with 56% of battery still. The topo maps are great! I am surprised by how much of the trail system around here show up on the topo.

Just as a heads up, eBay seems to be running a 10% off tech coupon tonight until 11pm pacific. If you're looking to save on a GPS, now seems to be a good time to buy!

Ebay has 20% off (max $50) right now that works for gpscity's store. Code is PRIMO and good through 7/21.
Discount looks like it works on Zumo 396 which drops price to $349. Didn't check the others but they list the larger Zumo as well as a couple Montanas. Free shipping and possibly no tax depending on location.
