That's weird. I ordered mine on a debit/credit card too. My card can be used as a Visa, and it went through fine. I hope you get everything cleared up.

Mine was mastercard debit. Bank still holding funds but said it should clear up in a few days if no charges are entered. Debit cards are difficult to understand for me.
The company did respond via email quickly and assured me they did not chg the debit account.

Looking forward to getting the 2720 - great price and great product from what I've heard.

These were down to about $350 at Amazon a few weeks ago. Now they're at $503. That doesn't make any sense. I knew I should have bought when at $350 when I had the chance!

I can't decide what GPS to buy. Refurb 2720, Zumo 450 or just get another 60CSx.

5thavedigital advertised zumo 450 for $333 last wednesday. I ordered received a comfirmation call on Thursday and they stated the item is available. This morning, I received an e-mail stating the unit was discontinued from Garmin and would not be immediately available. I cancelled my order and called JCWhitney. They have it advertised for $399 and I felt they were a more reputable company. Well their site says ships within 3 days; the lady on the other end of the phone said it would ship in 1 6 weeks as it is a factory direct item.

No-joy for me and my Zumo mission. I purchased one this holiday season for $349 from a large, reputable corporation with an outstanding return policy. Now I'm being mislead by every possible source. My desire to pay considerably less than retail is turning into the proverbial kick in the nuts.

In my opinion Everyprice.co and all that garbage is just a waste of time. Any ADV retailers out there with actual merchandise, in stock and a teeny bit less than MSRP? NVTS

I ordered a refurb 2720 for $110 from emilyandlily off ebay last Saturday. I got it (paid $18 extra for 2 day UPS) on Wednesday. It appears to be new and has everything it was supposed to have.

I have had a 2610 for a few years now and bought this one for my Dad's birthday. It is faster than mine and has a bit better interface. Came complete with 2008 software, not 2009.

I still can't believe the deal. If you are new to GPS and don't wish to spend much, this can't be beat. Just need to order the M/C kit to mount it and power it on a bike.

Yes, the 478/376c/276c has a brighter screen and the Zumo has left hand buttons, but at what cost?

No, it will not run off batteries. No, it won't play MP3's or do your dishes. It is just a GPS. For $110.

I love simplicity. And cheap gifts for my Dad. :1drink

I think I am going to nab one of these also. Can't beat the price

Ordered it, no option for me for faster shipping, but no real rush. Now I need to get a cradle and hardwire kit

Me three - my wife's Ique 3600 stopped finding itself and this looks like a nice in-expensive replacement. Heck if it works I might order a second one for me. They are local so It's gonna be here tomorrow...:clap

Is the standard RAM cradle what most use on this and does it work well for bike use? Touratech mounts are way over priced and IMO look like a transformer. :lol3

I need to get the ram and hard wire kit on order from cyclegadgets

EDIT, talking about the 2720 model.

I have had the RAM cradle for mine since I purchased the unit in early '06. Yes, it fell out once when going over a particularly rough set of rail road tracks at stupid speeds. But it stayed on through the entire trip up the TransCanada Hwy through Labrador and over 50K miles otherwise.

So, yes, there are better units, but at what cost?

I have the touratech locking mount that I used with the 2610 for over 20k miles and now the 2720. I've done some pretty rough trails at speed and never had my gps pop out.

Cost? $130 and $50 for the 950 special mount. Costs more than the current gps its holding :lol3 . (paid $500 for the 2610, $110 for 2720)

Amazon lists these for mounting the 2720:
Garmin Motorcycle Mount for StreetPilot 2610 and 2620 (010-10495-00) $36.95
    RAM Mounting Systems Handlebar Mount for Garmin Streetpilot 2610, 2620, 2650, 2660, 2720, 2730, 2820
    $30.64

That's less than $70 (before shipping). Anyone have feedback on these as far as reliability or robustness?

I'd hate to spend $180 to mount a GPS that only cost $110.....
