Alright, here it is. Our brand new GPX FSE 450R thread! A bit of info has been posted on this soon to be bike in the Pitster Pro LXR 250f thread, but excitement is getting more intense for it, and I figured it deserved it's very own place to be discussed. Let the games begin!

Lots of great info out there, but the biggest question I have is price. Everything seems great, ~255lbs dry, 450cc, 6 speed, etc. Also is it a wide ratio gearbox? is it the same EFI system as the lxr 250f? all questions I have

also may want to put a general synopsis of rumored specs / pics in the the first post to inform people who haven't been following the 250f thread btw :thumbup

Biggest question from me is what will the MSO say (platable?).

Yeah, I thought about listing pictures and specs in that first post too, but I kind of decided I didn't want the very first pictures to be of the pre-production speculation model, so that new comers just glancing at it would think that is the bike. I figured we would get a conversation going before pictures started showing up (which is exactly what we are doing now). That's also why I mentioned the LXR 250f thread. Because if they are really interested, they can get their first good impression there where there is a lot more info explaining the difference between the speculation photos, and what production GPX's will be like. Just my opinion though.

Hopefully the EFI is better than the Asiawing LX450E....apparently the EFI is completely unusable.

I'm interested, depending on price and the EFI.

So I know the similarities to the Asia Wing bike will be non-existent. Keep in mind, that at this point, this is speculation, with some hard info from GPX to back it up. This bike will be based on the same chassis that KEWS uses, which is basically a clone of the 2017 & up Husqvarna TE & FE line. It will be made out of high quality chromo steel. It should be compatible with most aftermarket parts that fit the Husky. (Tanks, plastics, etc.) The suspension components themselves will be similar to the existing LXR we have now, but with higher end alloy pieces like the rear linkage. The engine is not at all the same piece as the Asia Wing model. Although similar in rated HP, the GPX engine will be manufactured by Zongshen. Zongshen is the same manufacturer of the LXR 250f we have now. It will be built with very long service intervals and high life expectancies. The 250f version has proven very durable and reliable, so the 450 should be the same. The fuel injection is unknown at this point, but I highly dought it will be Delphi based. I would expect it to run as good or better than the Kayo EFI we have now on the LXR250f. The quality and fit and finish on this bike is said to be every bit as good, maybe even better than the current 2018 model Huskys and KTMs. I have included some pictures and specs of how I think this bike will be equipped. Expect unique colors for plastics and graphics. Also, it is confirmed this bike will come equipped with a head light and tail light. It will also have a number plate included for those not wanting to run the lights.

I think the lxr 250f is delphi based right? or at least it says on the pitster site

It does say Delphi on the website, but the website is incorrect. The website has been found to have quite a few discrepancies. The EFI system on the LXR 250f is manufactured in house by Kayo.

Yeah, I understand what you meant. I guess you could say they're similar, but really the only thing similar is the HP rating. Otherwise, they are about as similar as a Honda CRF450x and a Husky FE450. Both 450's, but very very different bikes all together.

Bhart89 asked "Can you share any specs like weight, HP, Torque, Seat height, etc.?"

I'm fairly certain my response was accurate in comparison to the GPX FSE 450f.

So is the word that this won't be over here until the fall still??

No, its not the Delphi system. Its marked Rojo and is specific to the Kayo non EPA bike. 35mm TB, I think I read the Delphi in 34mm TB.
The PP website has as much missinformation as fact at the moment.

One thing of note is how different the 2t frame is from the 4t. It seems like they are dedicatied to making really good bikes.

I got the feeling going forward that the LXR, FSE250, TSE250 frames were going to be the same. Just assumed the 450 would be as well, but maybe that's not the case?
