booking has opened for the gagsc, who's going? (besides LITO) and what routes are you doing (green, red, blue)? i think i'll do the intermediate, my ADV is a pig off road and i am to lazy to keep picking it up.

i know its in the bo karoo (northern cape), but not exactly where. anybody heard any decent rumours on location specifics?

It's a matter of carefully reading the Indemnity on the BM Web site, do a little search and Voila, the venue is as clear as an action movie viewed from the third row after a decent joint.

Not that difficult to find the location. I think it will be even better than last year. It will be a bit 'busier' this year as I hear they are allowing 200 people to enter.
I'M SURE WE WILL HAVE A JOL!!!!:clap :clap :clap

errrr... does that mean I cant reply? :D

My friends Leon and Liza are going, will enter into red routes individually as well as with pillion.

My friend Lourens will be going, red routes too. He might bring his wife with too, as pillion, dont know if he will ride the routes with her though.

Someone else on this board asked me if he could tag along to Lesotho afterward, said he would meet us down there.

The big question is: Can I enter in on a 525 KTM if I put a BMW roundel on it, and stick a big GS over the KTM sticker? Whats my chances?:bueller:1drink:deal:freaky

4 klicks outside of Loxton, base camp on a farm. Deon meyer tells me the first two days or red routes are OK but third is VERY HECTIC - 10km of long steep up and down VERY ROCKY trails!!:eek1 :eek1 :eek1 :eek1 :eek1
I will be there - look out for the yellow GS with the distinctive personalised number plate GSPOT EC :evil

Maybe not the right bike for the ride on the rocky terrain then.

The word on the street is that the South African HP2 launch will be at the GAGSC, 22 to 25 September the rest of the world launch is I think around the 10th, up to 8 HP2,s will be at the GAGSC I assume the press corp plus BMW staffers there no riders names yet. It adds speculation to what bike is the prize for winning the special stages though.
