The last couple are guys so it doesn't really matter if she doesn't clear them.
Jarno Saarinen with wife Soili giving pit signals
That's one way to distract the competition....
You blokes should, um, what do they want us to do now?
^^^ I recall seeing that photo in the magazines - back in the day - and remember (vaguely) the story...? I think it was a "non-championship" title event (like maybe Manjimump in WA or something?) and not a regular Mr Motocross or State or National Championsheep meeting... It was something along the lines that he got a flat front tire in one of the heats, and in order not to "DNF" he was required to finish the moto - or something like that. But for the life of me I can't recall, or work out why Stephen Gall is on a bike with the letter "H" on the numberplate...?
Yes not sure on history but great photo. There is a photo of Stefan Everets at the Namur gp which I have seen before on paper but never been able too find bit on internet,it's a gem
Apparently it was at the annual "King of the Cross" motocross invitational - held at Southern Cross in Western Australia. They used initials instead of numbers for the elite invited riders... apparently Gall won that year (1980) but it was contingent on him finishing in the points of the last heat... why he rode on the rim with the tire over the bars.
Did Everts have a front tire issue at namur one year also...? In his ten times victories at the citidel, I was there for 2003, when he won on the Yamaha 450F over Smets KTM... Stefan had half a spectator barricade net coiled up in his rear sprocket...

Eewww. How much did that hurt?
In typical Dal style, he jumped-up, back on bike and started chasing pack (with twisted forks/bars)
Race was red-flagged due to multiple crashes and rain.
Restarted as wet race and Dal just got the class win on the line.
Dal said he had a bit of a sore shoulder and arm, but ok.
Kewl. Good result.
Wrong kind of dirt for any part of the SX track, that i have ever seen there? it kind of looks like Coastals or Manji.
the top centre does look like SX and assume that the #E is Gunter and #2 is Graeme Smythe but 79 or 80
