I've done that on my SV quite a few times. I've considered making a twisting left grip for shifting gears up or down.
Another member snapped this at an evening/night race. It was a little dark so I played around with it and brightened it up. I think it's really a great shot.
The not so "Lucy Explorer".
Lucy makes it funnier.
Another from the book of faces...
TTBOMK RC16 V4 1000cc
Not sure of the changes over the last coupla years.
Seems reliable and fast enough.
No 'Super engine' - yet!
Not too shabby
Is that the cover shot for the lesser-known Beatles album, "Lucy in the river with cow-poo"?
I have one for them. It's broken though.
I like then real contrast in styles between Doohan and that KTM rider.
Doohan is prepared for a possible loss of traction on his crazy 2-stroke maybe. The KTM rider has electronic traction control looking after him.
100% - He's (MD) preparing for the rear to spin up and making sure he can get his weight on the outside peg. The contrast in styles in those two photos is fantastic. Appreciated.
Doohan was an outlier.
His style and technique should never have worked, but it did.
IIRC he was asymmetrical too, different body position around right handers.
