The picture wastaken by Don Morley who was lying on the road. Both his legs were in plaster after a recent road-bike crash, but this shoot had been booked weeks previously by one of the sponsors. Don also had an MV in his basement; only after extensively renovating his house did he realise he could no longer get the MV out intact. He dismantled it, carried it upstairs and rebuilt it in the lounge. Don shot Grand Prix racing through the summer and every winter, would compile a different book; he wrote about 20 on various bike subjects - but also on other sports, like darts and snooker. He's a lovely man, very down to earth, always polite and friendly. And of course, utterly superb at what he did.
