My grandfather Reg on his 3 1/2 Arno
I have just realised why I have a thing about Morini 3 1/2 Sports !
That’s a nice photo but looks very “manufactured“.
Old school canvas bags, leather straps, no front guard, helmet with no visor.
Sort of like the David Beckham pics on the mud splattered Triumph’s in South America eh !
Ha! Out of the three pictures, that was the only one that was not mine. You're probably right. I just liked the feel of the photo. The Himalayan one was from a tour I led last year for World on Wheels. And the Salar de Uyuni was from 2002 - a journey with Mike Ferris. You may have seen that picture many, many times in Aussie bike mags as it was used to advertise the Ferris Wheels Safaris to numerous destinations.
Here's another of mine. Tour Guiding on 70s Urals in the Phong-Nha Kebang National Park, Vietnam in 2014. Billions of butterflies to flutter by...
My rig to the rear.
Always great to hear the stories behind the photos especially ones from the original photographer
Got to know Arthur quite well over the years.....top man!
Here heading up the Mountain.
And competing in the trials, “On a proper man’s bike!”
Has the odd story to tell too....!
A true gentleman, and legend of the sport.
