    I’d like to ride over for a day if the date works, and if the weather isn’t anything at all like last year. It was chilly sitting here in my recliner. :lol3

    Based on previous years' routes, would you consider this ride "Ural sidecar friendly"? Based on the bikes I had seem photos of from the 2017 thread, it didn't look like a problem, but I'd love advice from folks who have done this ride before. I've done similar rides in Indiana, so I know the rig will handle it, as long there isn't any single track that is too narrow or water that is too deep.

    You will be fine on everything but maybe a couple of the level B's if it is muddy.

    You will be fine.

    For those that have not attended previously, this ride is not a group ride. At least not the kind where the entire group rides the same route at the same time. Craig has numerous tracks that cover this area that I am sure he will post soon. Everyone meets up at the campground and finds some folks of similar skill level and route/time intentions for Saturday's ride. There are lots of people, most with a gps, so no one should have a problem finding someone to ride with.

    Or you have torrential rains all day on Saturday and hardly anyone rides anywhere. Like last year...:devildog

    I'll make a blanket statement that, anyone that's slow and otherwise in the way, you're welcome to ride with me ;-}

    A silverback on a KLR . . . you KNOW you can feel good about your skills riding with me!

    This event would be so much fun on a Ural. You shouldn't have any trouble ... but if you do there are ride arounds if you need to. Some single lane but nothing too narrow for the hack. If you have the Patrol the additional wheel power may be nice if you find yourself going up a certain hill or two. You're making me miss my Tourist ...:(

    Plus if you hang out with Bomber he might have his flask of Scotch on him but be prepared to hear (and I may be paraphrasing some) "I f'n love riding motorcycles.." especially after traversing a slimy/mud road.

    The one glaring exception to the similar skill levels guideline is that Craig and his buddy Brad let me slow them down year after year with no complaint. Then I went and bought a bike that makes me even slower on B roads than the KLR (yes it's possible), and they still let me ride with them.
