Only if ya can't dicker
I hate dickering.
Wot! You have to haggle!
You don't have to argue, you just have to be honest. What works well in my experience is to tell the seller the thing you're looking at is nice or interesting or some sort of positive comment, and then just say something like, "To me, it's worth ....". Just be straight with the seller. If the seller says no, just shrug and ask if you can give your phone number or email address if they decide to change their mind. And say goodbye.
Here's a very clean, low mileage, 2013 Kymco People GTi300 in the Houston area I saw on my local forum about a year ago. I think he wanted $3000 then. Big Ole Texas isn't exactly prime scooter territory and it hasn't sold yet. I see he just lowered his price to $2200. I believe this has the 4V motor making about about 28hp if I remember right.
I don't know the owner but he has a good reputation on the board and I think someone should be enjoying this. I considered this last spring but I had my heart set on an Xmax by then. Had the price then been $2200 I'm guessing it would be sitting in my garage now instead of an Xmax (That I really like).
Nice. Missed one of those around here in that price range. Been kicking myself a bit.
How the hell did that now sell by now for 2200? It appears to be mint. In Houston you can ride year round so I would think scooters would sell kind of quick.
Think it did finally sell. If it was later in the year I'd have been tempted to fly 'n buy.
Been rode a bit:
Lol, just broken in or perhaps broken?
Wow 103 thousand miles.
Aren't these supposed to be 'great' scooter deals here?
It's a matter of perspective. That'd be great for the seller.
Project Maxi - $500 - Tampa area
Love my Atlantic, once the issues are corrected it's a great scoot.
Something doesn't seem quite right here. I owned one of these, the rear tire had cords showing at 3500 miles.
Oldie but a goodie.
I would snap that up in a heartbeat if it literally weren't on the other side of the country from me!
Vespa deal or scam?
already removed from CL
It was listed at $900 in 'like-new ' condition.
