it IS the US-made product...go big or go home ...
translated from a french article so it reads strangely at times.
I think this angle makes the core of the bike look narrow and compact.
I order mine today... expect delivery in the spring… Just not sure what colour it will be… The deal is if it doesn’t fit, I get my deposit back…
Did they give you any hint of weight or MSRP?
nope... it’ll be what it’ll be… If it doesn’t work out, I’ll just walk away from the deal… I just want my name on the list, so I have right of refusal… There’s only three people on the list and apparently the dealership I ordered from are getting the first ones in Canada.
Not a bad idea. I've lived 3 miles from Stampede HD for 15 years and never stepped foot inside. I guess it's time.
I did the same thing, but did it in August of 2018. Lol. I’m anxious to try this bike out. With all the other bike reveals going on I wish they would start throwing some teasers out. I mean, Europe has one on tour at the dealers.
I put my deposit and name on a list yesterday (7-Nov) for a chance at one of my dealership's first. I am #5 on the list!
So since they are being very tight lipped about what the Pan-America is going to be equipped with all in all, what makes you so ready to take the plunge sight unseen? Other than the no risk money back guarantee lol
Mostly I want to switch up bikes next year… Get my name on the list… I can always say no… What I will do is go down to the BMW shop and sit on a GS 1250… Then go up to the Harley shop and sit on the Pan Am…Mostly just to see how the bike fits… And I am sure between now and when they hit the showroom floor we will know more about them… As I’ve said in previous posts… I’d like to do some more forestry roads, and the electriaglide doesn’t cut it
Hahah I can imagine trying to get a full dresser through a mud bog and it doesn't sound fun. But yeah I guess if you are ready to update why not give the new guys to the game a shot? I really am excited to see what they put out to market when it's all said and done though.
6 harley dealers near me in the same radius as the one BMW i gave my money to this year for a 1250 gsa. still curious about the Pan America though. My farkles will fit the new 2021 gsa with electronic improvements over my 2020,so i may upgrade again . too bad they took a year too long to get this thing launched.
That 40th anniversary package is a sweet looking bike. This is going to sound strange but the mostly black color scheme makes it actually look smaller!
Million Dollar Bogan on YouTube. Took his Road King through the central Australian desert and purposefully buried it in mud and sand pits. Quite entertaining. Ended up breaking a belt in the mud while his riding partner avoided the deep stuff and had no issues the whole trip. He also broke his oil pan on some rocks on that same trip.
This past year he almost lost the bike to a rising tide when he buried it in the sand riding it on a beach in a secluded part of the Gold Coast. What a goofball but wildly entertaining!
I took my Electraglide up to Alaska in 2017… Went up through Dease lake and came back on the Alcan all the way to Mile 0… The construction zones up there where as much dirt as I ever want to see on that motorcycle again... lol... from Meziadin junction up into Alaska and back to Dawson Creek there was many a time that I wished I had had my GS 1150 and my Klim gear
What I took...
What I wish I had...
Props to you man sounds pretty intense! I want to check out Alaska but I definitely will heed your lesson and make sure its on an ADV not a Touring bike.
Dang man that looks like a mixture of fun and hell on earth haha! How bad did it want to bury itself?
It wasn't all that bad. It was rental, they're better at that stuff than privately owned bikes
