    My goldwing spoiled me.
Before that was an 87 softail.
Its almost like coming back around, but to a bike that handles better, more power (even more than the 96" s&s), and over all just... Better.

I've been looking into a mounting kit that would allow large locking pelican cases.
But the thrashin supply bags + a bag on the sissybar should do it.
With the saddlemen seat my girl and I did a 300 mile day no problem, if ridden like not a complete asshole the small tank isn't too limiting.
Once the sissybar is on, I can lean back into the woman and relax more on longer rides

A couple from today in no particular order. Just sat down to dinner after 11hrs on the bike.

just onto the Monterey/Carmel area coastline heading south on HWY 1

Further south, just before San Simeon on the coast, had to get off the bike and walk a little, my knees DO NOT like this bike after about 3 hours

I am surprised about your knees. That is one of the biggest reasons for me going to the EGS and HD in general. But if I remember right you're pretty tall so maybe that is the difference.
    Great pictures by the way.

@villageidiot You need some highway pegs and a backrest. I always put my highway pegs on the inside of the bars. Gamechanger.....seriously.

I couldn’t reach Highway pegs if they were there, my legs are too short! Backrest maybe, but might not be able to throw a leg over the bike then….. short legs.

doesn’t help that I’ve obliterated both knees in the past……. If I sit in a chair at home longer than about an hour, I can barely walk too.

Do yourself a favor. Get some and mount to the inside of the bars. The reach is shorter and different from the traditional GYNO position. I use the bar clamp with Sportster passenger pegs. But, you need a backrest to make this work. Try it

I can’t even touch the crash bar with my toes. I gotta stretch/reach/try a time or to, to be able to get the kickstand. :lol3

Try the seat that pushes you forward and a backrest. Dealers have them to try. Here's the peg combo I had on my Fatbob. They aren't rotated to the inside in this pic, like I recommended.

Big loop through central Oregon, happy to say the Pan Am is a pretty good mile muncher.

There is a mountain locator spot west of Condon, this was the first day I've hit that was clear enough to see all 5.

What's the tank range like on those new Pan-Ams?

Forward pegs / highway pegs without a backrest are terrible for most folks, but in combination they work great!

42-45 mpg for me, 5.6 gal tank. If I were at 200 miles, would be hoping to see a gas station on the next block.
