Love the patriotic theme!
Ron was very patriotic and a proud Vietnam Vet. He bought the Fat Boy in early 2001 and it was all black. After 911 happened that September he wanted to do something patriotic and this is the result. It really looks even better in person. And a very proud Texan!
Updated pic from over the weekend in Harriman Park, NY along 7 Lakes Drive.
2013 Harley Davidson Switchback, bought new
"Why do you want forward controls" they asked...
...sits on bike, turns bars to full lock, grip about hits knee...
"Back wall, half way down, middle shelf" they said.
Still got called names like "Praying Mantis"
Left a plant down near Florence (Y'ALL) KY right around 5:00PM. Choices were either deal with I-275 traffic at that point or go do something else with my time for an hour. Got lucky and found a disc golf course nearby (South Fork Park).
I just wanna say, I appreciate the Harley threads here on ADVRider.
Some of the “other forum sites” where Harley Folk congregate are a tad over-the-top for me anymore. I know here there are some real biases toward H-D, and some just good natured ribbing. But the little band of people here seem pretty rational, middle of the road, good natured, helpful, and other warm and fuzzy words.
I love you guys (sniff)
Seems like that middle of the road rational thing is lacking in more than just one place - a friend of mine almost left the MOA due to all the Harley hate he receives there. I just really love all motorcycles.
Well said ! It’s not about what you ride but that you ride.
Which is really funny now that BMW is making softails and Harley is making GSs
And theres a bike for every purpose, so just ride.
Now that IS a great point right there….
Nice and cool on the ride home today
My one day old FLSB :
and after a strip down and a wash:
I’ve been neglecting my Street Rod lately so I rode it to the swap meet. 100 miles went by quickly. It needs cleaning, too
Love that model. Mighta bought one if it hung around a few more years and got the upgrades.
1983 XLX Sportster
After being disappointed in my 2002, this one has been great.
