Shhh. The 2 into 1 Thunderheader on my FLHP hasn't cracked... yet. :D

I needed a clamp for mine and the search for the instructions online was akin to trying to find an honest politician.

To my knowledge there isn't a tech support line. Your dealer has access to Tech Services but they must make the call. Customer Service line is 800-258-2464 M-F 8am-7pm CST.

And its got mids! Only thing I don't like about my '93 FXSTC is that it doesn't have the blocks on the frame to mount mid-pegs. I really like to stand up to stretch while riding.

    Nice bike!

Yeah they're a nice looking ride. But that screwed up '06 engine/trans is a pain until sorted out.

I’ve had lust issues with those 35th super glides for some time, I suppose if it was fixed at a dealer there would be a record of it on the VIN#

It's nothing fatal. As long as it fires right up and doesn't make any horrible noises you should be OK. The mainshaft bearing in the primary cover anything else should be sorted by now. Harley put the wrong part number in the catalog for the six speed and they didn't catch it for awhile. We just kept putting the same wrong part in there when they went south. Frustrating. They only lasted about 6K miles on average. Gave the six speed a bad reputation for awhile.

I too lusted after one. Recently, there was one for sale about 200 miles from me. It was fairly low miles, but IMO, a little too pricey. I was still thinking about it. Then this one popped up about 80 miles away with about 1000 miles on the ODO. I jumped on this one.

That's awfully close to an anvil launch to park a bike. :yikes

When you launch an anvil, their weight makes them go straight up and come straight back down. I believe they have competitions that score on how close you get back to the launch point.

While web surfing I learned that HD introduced mid control kits for M8 Softails (that have stock forward controls) earlier this year, pricey but the quality looks good and it might make some models a viable option for those that don't like forwards (like me ;-)
(there are some aftermarket options too)

I'd be interested to see these on a bike as well as hear some feedback about handling improvements such as cornering clearance. I have near dagger sharp floorboards at this point.
