something along these lines. I'll weld 2 small round couplers nuts - that's it - as shown into the frame to attach the 3/16x1" flat bar as a bottom anchor. I'll have to fabricate a different frame pivot tube and 1" channel as shown. these mini shocks are designed specifically as seat shocks. the new 'chopper' thing........

Using 2 silent blocks to attach the seat to 2 tabs on the frame m10 bolt.

good for me, I never like the rubber coated pagusa denfield covers and QSL 1000 miler seats are $300-400-700.oo used on eBay. well fuck that.

these HD police seats have 'air' bags too ......... :clap :crash

Somewhere out there is my old R60/2 that I made a similar seat spring for. On mine, I used sections of cut down rear shock shrouds to make mine look like a miniature of the factory suspension. Looked great, not sure how it's held up after all these years.

The one I made was a single spring in the same location as the silent block. The upper shroud was black and the lower (inner) shroud was polished, just like the rear shock of a /2. The whole shock was maybe 4” tall.

I'm using all Honda levers , brake master cylinder to match the volume of the dual F4 calipers. Adding or changing out to the new aftermarket adjustable levers for clutch and brake controls. just to be different , of course. Don't know how they will all feel, hopefully I know within the next 6-8 months time.

Mock Up of the arse end now having all the LED lamps @ the shop. using a stock R90 license plate bracket, then a custom fabricated top plate - which holds the 2 side marker lamps, the license plate, both modern blinkers, wire harness hidden behind & the ' FENIX ' - - - - ULTRA BRIGHT brake 3 bulb LED light.

5 wire / 22gage rated @ 300 volts DC - stranded copper. Easily slides thru the fender tunnel.

    it literally is a Blinding light ! ! !

the new Dnper tail light housing was $22.oo
    Weber's and coffee cans are fuck ....... $150.oo used - - - -OucH ! !

I changed the dnper to a harley davidson red dual Blinker light. Every light has been modified to my liking, adding led strip lighting for MorE reflection and plate coverage. I don't want a fuk'n chance of a ticket......

I wasn't going to say anything, but in that case ^^ you appear to have too much free time on your hands to build these bikes. Careful lest you incite the "too much fun taking place" police.

Looks like the same tail light I've seen on a lot of European tractors. I really like it!

    well,
    I started @ age 17... .... .... I am retired now, ( can't believe it's 7 years so far ) and in a couple months I'll have to start taking SS @ age 70.

good thing tho I can almost live off what I get on SS and the wife gets 1/2 a SS rule. she's entitled to 1/2 of what I get and I get my full SS. I guess all those hundreds of overtime hours, days, weeks and many months.......... years working OT are gonna pay off.

now time's short and I have these 2 to finish up and a 49 HRD to finish. So ... please don't call the thought police just yet.

you'll want me to finish all this posting.

    ps

    pokie @ $ 25.oo ~ ~ ( eBay .. each ) it's a keeper and with these mods,
even better than those fuk'n expensive B ring M ore W ampum lamps !

My frame and earles are @ a frame shop getting checked over.
and if the R80/7 engine trans owner would just STOP working and dig out the motor trans he said he'd sell me, I'd REALLY get some shit done.

    ps
I bought an E~50 last week. I'm impressed. I'm fabricating bracket to hold it to all my bikes.
on the R50SS~*)/2C it'll fit just under the back of my big arse luggage rack.

Congrats on being retired - no danger of an alert to the fun authorities from this end as I'm hoping to join your ranks in due course (retired that is)

    That was my intention when I designed this . . . . . .
    if you l
OOk back thru this thread you will see where that rear grid rack came from. it's not so much having a nice rack, it's also how I'll mount it. Since I don't have my frame @ the shop, so speaking of that, I will do some innovative attachments to allow for more function over form, to attach what I want.

    stay tuned . . . . .

    .

ps, my wheelbarrow was a freeway ground score,

I'm also fabricating my own US Handle Bars e/w a slight mod for GPS, xm, mobile phone, V~1 radar etc accessories.
Here's the start using a Magura Poor chromed, nik'd up bar off ebay for $9.oo. a 5/8" steel tube - .095 wall. 2 Coupler nuts will get welded into the cross bar . . . . 5/8" tube.
All Honda levers e/w new adjustable finger levers, m/c is rebuilt and matches the 2pot dual disc brakes going on the Earles fork...
when alls said and done it'll get black zinc coated. New NOS Magura twistie or the new Thomaselli dual cable will match just fine.
    Did I mention . . . . I HATE chrome
