Geezuz Richo, you can do better than that!
I think a Tuareg would go nice with a Tenere
I’d get “KTM” tattooed on my forehead (ok, it’s actually a fivehead) just for the chance to touch what you have sitting in the shed Richo, can’t imagine what you’d be lusting after in the hot-blooded Italian stable. MHR? RXV450? MG1000s?
I’m not clever enough to phrase it in Italian like Carpenter, but fuck you Cruz. :)
toerag (plural toerags) (Ireland, slang, derogatory) An obnoxious or insignificant person.
Aprilia Toerag (plural Toerags) (Ireland, slang, derogatory) An obnoxious or insignificant Italian motorcycle.
You forgot the obnoxious German SUV
Oh... you mean those big beautiful GeländeSchwein...?
That's the dodgiest fricken' Italo-Sverige/Australian translation I've seen in a long while.
You know Troy, never let the truth get in the way of a good story.
Tuareg? They had a bike with this name before KLR became a thing.. then they dropped it in favor Pegaso
Was keeping the vibe... of dodgy Italian translations - going.
Tuareg is the name for a nomadic people who inhabit the Sahara of northern Africa... Like the Berber or Bedouins, it is a traditional ethnic culture and way of life that transcends the modern concept of countries/national borders.
Like the name Ténéré, Tuareg is an acknowledgement of the region and landscapes that this bike is designed to be used in... I guess that is the sense of "history" that the dodgy translated Italian journo was aiming to capture in his bit on the new Aprilia 660 that the spy photographer took.
Yes but do they have their own song
Bit of info creeping onto the interwebs, couple of YouTube videos which are speculative to say the least. At first glance it’s plain to see Piaggio have aimed this square at the T7, dunno how many neddies they’ll leave in the stable from the RS donk tho, the T7 is pretty much the same hp as the MT07? Funny how we are all setting the benchmark at 100hp these days, my 60hp dirt bike stretches my arms and scares the fuck outta me yet my 140hp adv bike is a bit ho-hum. I’ve been lamenting that really the only bikes in this mid-size off road capable segment are the T7 and the 790, hopefully this will add another. Hopefully. Not because I’m a brand tragic, far from it actually as all my vehicles are purchased on their merits, but more so having choices and competition is good for consumers.
Wanna take a bet on Big H dropping a new perfectly formed TA onto us very shortly?
Soooo close to being worth considering....just 10 cc away from an rs650
There is no fiat ever worth having. Ever.
Actually looks ok. Looks....
Thats just a photo shopped T7, all the way to the Tyres
So, according to some inmates KTM's are not reliable and the engines have to be rebuilt every 2k miles.
Italian bikes need more oil then gas, the wiring ignites itself 2 to 3 times a week and there are no spare parts. None. Never ever.
Now get your head out of your ass and take a look at the calendar: It's 2020, not 2002!
The 690 LC4 engine is reliable and it's power-to-weight ratio is better then anything else on the market by far. Yes, even better then your KLR or DR650!
Since Aprilia has been taken over by Piaggio their engines tend to last (also the old engines, V-1000 and 650 singles weren't that bad), and they don't close the whole company down for two month of summer vacation every year anymore.
If you want a dealer on every second street corner, go buy a Honda or a GS1200, like everyone else does. But please stop whining about bikes you do not even dare to buy.
Someone who rode a 750 Aprilia for 8 years and rides a 701 since 4 years.
