Believe me I get it... unfortunately I had to pull it down - and seriously I would like to pull down a bunch of real ads with ridiculous overpricing.
The only thing I can see that pushes the used pricing up is the fact that Canada, and Nova Scotia in particular (other low density pop. provinces also) are at the mercy of some monopolising retailers abusing their positions. If the market won't support same product competition then much scrutiny should be done before the Canadian mfg reps dole out the franchises... the minimum criteria should be that there is at least a benevolent dictator at the helm. Of course there will always be a certain amount of out to lunch private sellers that will never get it either way and will list their bikes month after month and year after year hoping for that one guy that never ventures farther than his local neighbourhood and just has to have that model and colour... damn the pricedos !

prices here in thunder bay are also higher than i see posted in the u.s. via craigs and ebay...but the supply here for used ds bikes is skinny. that being said i was in florida in february near tampa, there were very few bikes for sale and one fella commented on how high the prices have climbed on dual sports. are these bikes becoming "cool" ? or ?

You can always tell when spring arrives in Michigan, the dogwoods bloom and the prices on Craigslist go sky high. I bought my like new DR in the fall two years ago. The same type bike with low miles is more now on Craigslist than what I spent way back when. I should have bought two.

I paid about $6000 Out the door when I bought my 09 in 2008 (when they first came out).

Now that there is more of a used maket, I've seen new ones out the door for closer to $5K-$5500.

I just sold my 2009 with 3K km for $4200 - It had lots of farkles and was in good shape. I priced it to sell, and it sold right away.

    Attention Shoppers,

    I've got an '01 Honda XR650L with 14850 K,

It's on Kitchener-Waterloo Kijiji right now, maybe I've overpriced it
at 4500, but I'm open to offers. Not looking for trades but it's very clean
and I'm willing to negotiate the price. :ear
I reduced it to 4000. This bike hasen't a scratch on it.
Apologies if I'm off topic or wrong thread.
